West Ham to pay nearly half million extra to raise their stadium capacity up to 66,000. So a stadium that originally had a capacity of 80,000 for the Olympics was rescaled down to 55,000 and will be built back up to 66,000.

It's a shame because it looked like an incredible venue back in 2012 during the London Olympics. Danny Boyle's opening ceremony was one of the best things I have ever seen (THAT industrial revolution segment) and the fever and atmosphere that was stoked on that Super Saturday in the middle of the Olympics was spine chilling and one of the greatest sporting moments ever. Deserves a lot better.
