In years gone by we would have caved and probably lost that one. Front three were poor (even though one got a goal and another set up two!) but we dug it and got it done.

Quality central defensive display by Gomez and VVD. With Alisson behind him just calm and cool there's no way in hell we would have not conceded this time last year with Mignolet flapping about like some mad c**t. No one will talk about Alisson but I thought he was dynamite.

Second half was a little bit patchy.  Having said that, Mo Salah should have scored about four.  An off night for him.

Mane started the season very well, Alisson dealt with everything at him but I think Keita is an absolute beast.

Delighted, tricky away game, *relatively* comfortable.
Went for VVD MOTH. Benteke in his pocket, absolute rock at the back.
Impressed by Alisson too, like VVD makes things look easy, good with ball at feet, some very nice distribution.
Bit disappointed not to see Shaq, thought Hendo did OK.
All in all, think Jürgen will be pretty happy.

Same here. Didn't think Lallana could offer much to be honest. I can only guess Klopp put him on because he'd run more. Gave away a silly free kick late on as well. He's got a lot to do to force his way into the side. More than any of our other midfielders.

Not sure if we played well or not? First half was very controlling but lethagic, yet we created chances and we should have scored at least 1 goal, 2nd half was a bit iffy and felt it was more a rugged half.
