Brighton were set up to limit us as much as possible, was always going to be difficult with the overall performance of our players too. Palace he was still running at the defence.

He’s only going to get better.

Aye, Brighton parked the bus and made it very difficult for us. They're a decent, organized team so we shouldn't downplay the achievement on Sat. There'll be more and more teams setting up this way, and even then we should have been 2-0 up by half time.

In a way, I cherish these hard fought games when we grind out a result and keep a clean sheet more than the others. We wouldn't have got this result a few years ago. These are the games when we win or lose the title in my opinion.

Was at the game on Saturday and it frustrated me that some of the fans were too ready to get on the players' back when we have a "below par" performance. There wasn't one individual, a number of players had quiet games by their usual high standards. Mane was off, Bobby labored but couldn't do much and Keita had a quiet one too - largely due to Brighton setting up defensively and being very organized to contain us. Defense looked solid which pleased me. Aside from a couple of hairy moments in last 5 minutes, we didn't give them a look in...and this is an attacking team capable of scoring against big teams mind you.

Honestly, I'm very happy with this result. Well done to the lads, top of the league for good reason.

So happy to have a game like this and not drop points, show we have a tougher streak about us. The good thing is we are not playing anywhere near our best level yet.

We have a new La Liga scout now, don't we? Sylvain N'Diaye.
