I completely forget about Vardy being suspended.

Leicester went downhill a fair bit after Kante left, and Mahrez was probably their most potent weapon, and now with Vardy out as well, I really fancy us to get a good result.

      Don't forget, Drinkwater too ;)

      I'm not making anything up.
You've said it on numerous occasions about numerous players, including Milner; "he's over 30, his legs are gone" which in and of itself is a ridiculous assertion, which you now compound by denying it, simply so you can have more digs at Henderson.

      It's all a bit silly.
I didn't say Milner legs have gone, some have but I did not. I always valued his experience. Peak used to be 26-28. Seems closer to 28 now with players lasting until 32. Milner has enough to finish his contract on a high here. Ibra is a good example, Suarez and Messi will go on for a bit and Giggs did. Milner is a work horse and you are a massive liar.

Only choice? Milner would have something to say about that after the other night.
Milner was outstanding, Henderson is not good enough even in his peak, Milner's ability to lead by example is miles ahead.
What was the score? 7-0? Highest every away win from an English team? Who was captain? Oh yea.. Milner!
Where was Henderson? Twiddling thumbs on the bench, at least he was not giving the ball away like usual.
This is last season. Again, Swab you are a ****ing liar.

Go find it then, if I said it use the search function and prove it.
After Gerrard went Milner has been one of my favorite midfielders, I am hardly going to say bad things about him am I?

Not saying it will happen but 10 points from 12 wouldn't be a bad return.

Definitely in our favour that Vardy isn't playing but not a fan of the early kick offs and us. Leicester really should be on 9 points as well as us too IMO. Got stung a bit at Old Trafford.

Swab, you can see here it is you who asked me why I don't think Milner's legs have gone.
What a fool you are. Trying wind me up saying I said sh*t I didn't, now I called you on those lies.
You can't unlie, it is done.

Hang on a sec here, I've seen you post often enough about a player being over 30 means "his legs have gone" and Milner's now 31, so why would you want a captain of that age, when you insist over 30 means they are in terminal decline?
You mistaken me with your own snarkiness.

I actually made a thread about should we pick a new captain.
If we did Milner was always my first choice until we got VVD.

Not sure about that synopsis, Wolves should have beaten Leicester but just couldn't finish - oddly it was the live game while I was in Peru!

      It's a good point.
We always seem to have trouble getting started on these earlies.

Hopefully that's not the case tomorrow.

Leicester would have 6/9 if points were given on fairness.
      We would probably have 7/9.
I think we should put Leicester to the sword and take 12/12.
Vardy is out and he is their main goal threat.
Should and will are two different things, but Alisson could be a major reason why we get the expected results more often.
Last season we were winning 2 goals or something like that and ended up drawing, mostly because of Mignolet.
Alisson has gave me optimism about tomorrow.

Fair point about Milner's age thing and all that but he is a tank in midfield and I for one, would not like to gamble a 50/50 tackle with him. His distribution has definitely improved over the summer, probably down to the fact he was the first to arrive at Melwood on July 1st.
His combination play and pairing with Gini (so far) has been excellent.
Let's not forget, Alexis Sanchez is a lot slower, 3 years younger, paid a sh*t tonne more and doesn't drink Ribena ;D

Looking forward to VVD and Maguire locking horns.

I have noticed Milner's distribution and ability to play in tight spaces improved, I wonder how much of that is down to having Wijnaldum and Keita in midfield?

Agreed, he looks more technical now some how.

He knows how to pick a pass. I saw him live at Palace, it wasn’t his best game but he was everywhere and pulling the strings.

He just looks a lot more focused and like you say more assertive in tight spaces.
He's always been a top professional and looks after himself and to continue to impress the boss week in week out is no mean feat.
I'll hold my hand up and confess that a couple of seasons ago he looked shot and the door out seemed the only option.

This could well be his swansong season(?), giving it all he has for us in one final call of duty assault.

Wijnaldum and Keita are very skilful players with the ball in tight areas so it wouldn't surprise me that just by simply working with them both at Melwood has improved Milners overall play.
The three of them seem to cover each other better when one of them attacks and the quick killer pass is happening a lot more these last few games, great to watch.
Yes, Milner isn't as quick in a sprint but he makes up for that in his positional play and duracell attitude.
Oh, and he takes a decent pen.

There's no reason why that same three can't keep their places tomorrow and simply out skill Leicester in midfield.
We tend to get frustrated when our front three are having to drop back to the halfway line to pick the ball up which happened a lot last weekend due to the brick wall Brighton built.
It won't be like that tomorrow, no way.

Players with potential often put in a hard working performance and look good, but the score line is what matters.
In the past we had many games where we ended up drawing.
Now we have better quality players than potential, such players like Milner with experience know how to get a result even when not firing on all cylinders. There is no need to change much right now.
