"Liverpool are planning to appoint another goalkeeping coach to Jürgen Klopp’s backroom staff.
Jack Robinson, who has previously worked at Manchester United and is currently the National Goalkeeper Coach at the Football Association, has been given the chance to work alongside John Achterberg with Liverpool’s first team.
Achterberg is overseeing the potential appointment, seeking assistance as he works with up to five keepers a day at the club’s training complex.
While Achterberg continues to focus working with the senior keepers Alisson Becker and Simon Mignolet – and will remain a visual matchday presence in the ‘dug-out’ - the new appointment would help the highly-rated young deputies such as teenagers Kamil Grabara and Caoimhin Kelleher.
Previously, Robinson worked at Old Trafford for seven years, where he was a colleague of of Eric Steele and Frans Hoek coaching keepers of the calibre of Edwin van der Saar and David de Gea.
More recently, Robinson was part of the England Under 17s backroom staff that won the World Cup in their age group last season.
Klopp has been tweaking his backroom team every season at Anfield, making several changes in the coaching and sports science department.
Last summer he re-appointed former first-team coach Pep Lijnders and added specialist throw-in coach, Thomas Gronnemark, on a part-time basis."
