Clyne  TAA. The RB cover is more of an issue than the LB cover for me and that's saying something.

Can't remember the last time Clyne offered something to our team. Probably during Jürgen's first few months. I actually don't think he's gotten all that worse. It's just that all those around him (and the quality of player brought in) have improved immeasurably whilst he's still stayed at his level of being a right back for a 6th/7th place side which we were when Jürgen first came in.

Very disappointing results. We got beat on a shitty free kick call followed by what looked to be offside and then with a bit of magic from a top player in world football. Very undeserving as despite not having played together before and more than half the starting team making their first start of the season they defended well (though Moreno had a rough night) and overall played well enough where at least a PK decision was deserved instead of this.

Also disappointed that we lose a chance at a trophy. Never cared for the CC but this year a trophy is a must and now 1 window is already closed.

Thought Ketia held on to the ball for too long

Yeah, overall, he had a good game, but I felt he should have done better for the Hazard goal :(

Mignolet was good enough today. Played well. Unlucky for him that he will be limited to even less game time without this cup.
it's not unlucky, he earned that bench fair and square with years of dropping us points.

said that before kick off. Waste of time laughing at united when it's not much of a competition.

Can't laugh when Utd (with a strong team) lose at home to Derby?

More worried about Moreno’s role in that goal.

#1 Shaq is the real deal, get him involved more as an offensive midfielder
#2 Clyne = TAA, it's flip coin for me
#3 Keita has the potential to be a top5 player of the world soon, still a bit clumsy at times
#4 Fabinho wasn't bad, but I don't see his potential to be better than Milner/Henderson/Gini, he'll warm the bench longerm
#5 Moreno at least didn't get worse :)
#6 Sturridge does look lazy at times, no idea why he doesn't at least once in a while give it a go and presses or sprints for a ball
#7 Who cares about this useless Cup? My heart rate matched those of preseason, Saturday is where it counts
#8 If Hazard wants to leave Chelsea, at least make a bid, he and Messi are the best in the world right now
#9 Migs did quite alright, though I wonder if the Hazard's goal was possible to defend

In my opinion we didnt deserve to win. If you dont score on the chances we created we dont deserve to win.

Hoppfully we are more clinical on saturday.

Sadly we lost because Daniel missed an open goal.
second half was quite good but I don't think I will lose any sleep over the result its nice to go to Wembley but I would rather be at Wembley for the FA Cup Final

Played well or not, his game isn't suited to us. Takes too much time on the ball, long range passing is sh*te tier.

Defeats never get any easier eh? As much as I’m not overly enamoured by the Carabao Cup, I hate to see any team - let alone the plastics - get a win over us.

Much as I don’t want to tear in to players who were getting their first minutes of the season, Lovren and Moreno were pretty terrible. Lovren ‘best in the world’, give me a break. Morata bullied him. And, as someone on here pointed out, Moreno done a Moreno.

Despite all the stick he got before the game, Mignolet done quite well. Few nice saves and was not helped by those in front of him. Keita had some really good moments in the game and faded in to obscurity during others. Can see the quality Fabinho has but can also see why Klopp has not rushed him in to the squad. Danny was decent. Shaq, man of the match.

Oh well, on to the next one. Can safely say this result will be forgotten if we beat this sh*te on Saturday.

Moreno’s position is so bad it’s laughable. He wants to attack so bad that he puts himself in shitty positions to defend. He doesn’t buy into the system at all

How can you say we lost because of that, when Sturridge later scored to give us the lead??

That was a classic smash and grab in the second half by the Chavs, we completely outplayed them and one lapse of concentration by Matip ( no surprise he is 4th choice) and a wonder goal by Hazard.

We wasted so may good chances which considering we were playing against 12 men, how was keita's tackle a foul?..........That Kunt doesn't even hide his bias against us anymore!
      VAR shows Barkley offside aswell.

Is there a LB in the reserves otherwise i will lace up my boots.

On the positive side Henderson in front of Fabinho was really good and completely nullified the Chavs midfield.

Why was Shaq getting a roasting from Klopp at the end, i thought he did ok.
