We got what we deserved tonight. Worst performance in a while. Full backs were dreadful defensively, can't understand why they both came so narrow allowing Napoli to cross at will.

Anybody got the stats on how many times Henderson passed to our defence? Trying not to have a pop but I genuinely would like to see the stats.

Pathetic performance and a 3rd game without a win, we play like that Sunday and it won’t take until the 90th minute for our opponent to find the net.

People askin where Fekir would even fit in...that midfield, that’s where.

Simply not good enough that performance.

I think Klopp has to come in for criticism tonight. He'd gotten better at his subs in the last year but tonight to bring on Studge with 3 mins plus stoppage to go and expect him to do what he did at the weekend was too little too late. Agree with Shaq coming on and Studge should have come on for Salah a lot earlier.

Very deserved win for Napoli. Overall poor game from us.

Defense: OK, did hold up except for two situations.
Midfield: Not-OK, too slow, too boring, too horizontal, no ideas.
Offense: OK, because those fellas live from what the midfield delivers.

There are two positives: one is that this was just a group stage game, so we have any chance for reparation, two is that a loss can be an eye-opener; we didn't play well the last couple of weeks and this game tonight was just the peak of "not playing well", maybe Jürgen & players can derive something out of it.

Klopp should have put Shaq on when Keita got injured. Milner, Gini and Hendo is a bad combination. It messed the whole midfield up.

In fairness we haven't played well all season so to find ourselves in a relatively good position in league and CL is quite a nice bonus.

If we don't improve it will all fizzle out, people asking for an all guns blazing performance against City will probably be disappointed after our strongest XI just ran themselves into the ground 3 days beforehand.

Whatever happens in that City game it will be what we do after it that will define what we do this year.

We need to get back to scoring goals and get back to what we are about.

F**k the result there then, a 0-0 would have been a miracle really but this isnt the way we need to be going anyway. We aint United and Napoli aint Madrid. That was way OTT for me the way our midfield was so deep with our defence and the forwards isolated.

This was just a group match, didn't see the need to lose our arses like that today

We're better than them home or away.

We don't need Fekir. We have Keita and Shaq. And Jürgen even tried Keita, but refuses to walk the walk with bringing Shaq for injured Keita. Jürgen just coaches too conservative.

Hang your heads in SHAME LFC, who do We think we are, disappointed, a bit, but embarrased, Sh^ t loads, That has been the biggest load of sttuff I've seen us play, and Ive been watching from the late sixties.
So the last 3 Games we have LDL,  whats gone wrong, weve seen the players are not doing it, but not enblock. Everyone was not on thier game tonight, so I can accept one or two not being at thier game, but not all, We could have qualified tonight, so if klopp is invitng pressure, job well done

I don't think that it's just Salah... Firmino has been really out of sorts... He is the one that make the rest (Mane, and Salah) really tick, he creates, makes though little flick, fines the others around the box... Since he came back from the World Cup he has not been the same player, and on top of that Mane has been trying to grab the glory. Makes for a bad situation

And to add to our woes the midfield lack any real creative... Shaqiri is not the long term anwser but I am all for giving a run in the side after the City game...with Keita and Fab's...

We some decent support from midfield so we can get the front three firing again

Klopps disappointed me today. He's been taught what happens when playing defensively in the champions league. Henderson was not the correct sub, tactically battered.

What can you blame them for? They were pressing like usual, just without the usual success which is quite normal, because pressing depends highly on having the luck to catch the defense. They got far too few good passes to get into promising situations. Salah may have looked poor but he basically got nothing decent on his foot.

I don't understand the notion that the strikers are just at the mercy of our midfielders creativity. We're playing 4-3-3, not 4-5-1. Mo might as well not have played and I'm pretty sure Firmino actually didn't play. Mane put in a huge effort and although it was fruitless it was there to see.

Our midfield was very poor tonight, but to take off the responsibility of a horrendous offensive showing from our front three is just deluded.

F***ing hell you’d think we are two months without a win going off here.

We’ve basically played Spurs, PSG, Chelsea twice and Napoli on the trot in less than a month. A bad performance in there is understandable.

Key is how we bounce back.

I thought we looked okay before Keita came off. I mean, a few mistakes by Keita, but had he settled down, maybe we could have taken something, but him coming off probably killed off any chance of us winning.

Anyone else noticed how wide our #8's are at times? And when you see the full backs push up, one of our #8's would drop really deep to cover, even 2 at times, and it's not only happening in away games, but home too.

The only time I can recall our #8's being so wide last season was vs Chelsea away, but I don't recall our #8's being so deep to cover one of our attacking full backs last season.

His substitutions are generally terrible and tactically he did nothing to stop napoli getting behind the fullbacks etc.
