2 observations, firstly thank God VVD is a defender rather than a striker and secondly damn Sturridge has a beautiful natural finish, if only his movement was a bit sharper and in tune with the other lads these days

If it's Matip and Fabinho on Tuesday then we're in a bit of a mess, thankfully its ths home tie first because you wouldnt like to go to Munich with that back line. What's the word on Trent? Is he ready to play 90 or will it likely to be Milner which would only add to the chaos.

I personally would not have had Fabinho in midfield for this, I think there's gonna be a lot of counter attacks & transitions (Bayern's defensive weakness imo)  during the game from both teams, a game where athleticism will be much needed in midfield.

But then, another part of me wonders if a more controlling midfield that started vs Bournemouth might be a better option because of the away goal?

So it looks like I will be watching this one from son's hospital room after his surgery yesterday. Last time we were in here was the 4-3 home win vs. Man City in Jan/2018 so hopefully it works out as well result-wise  (and hopefully it is the last F***ing time we have to come to this place).
