It's not a great situation all the way around, the players, the manager, they are all going to be affected by this. I can't remember the last time one of the top teams in the world knew their manager was leaving that far in advance and went on to really tear up the rest of their schedule? Maybe I'm misremembering?
I feel like we are in uncharted water and they are all looking a bit rudderless right now, Klopp included. One could say it's to be expected. Not sure how you would navigate a situation like that. I'm sure Klopp wanted a storybook ending, I'm sure the players did as well, but unfortunately, the teams we play aren't on board with that. And the fewer games we have left, the heavier the weight of Klopp leaving and the change to come is going to be.
I almost think we'd have been better off having the next manager ready to be announced not long afterwards so that there would at least be some sense of continuity and maybe some calm. I guess it can't always work that way.
