My understanding is that he's on around 200k or so at Madrid. That might be after taxes, not sure. But from what I've read wages shouldn't have been a problem. Could be he just didn't want us, who knows. Would have electrified our midfield alongside Dom and Mac though, no doubt about that.

Jürgen looks a happy man he played with the KOP at the end of the game he knows what has has got now with this squad and 5 more points than last season against the same fixtures that is 30 points or more at the end of the season we will be right back in the mix and I think we are going to excel in these next two away games against Spurs and Brighton. Happy days

As he’s pointed out to many players , stay and become legends , leave and it just ain’t the same Jürgen gets it only too well , he may not quite have won all he should have due mainly to the sheiks, but he’s had nights with us that no amounts of money can compensate for , whenever he decides it’s time the club the fans and him have been very lucky to have each other .

Currently the longest serving manager/coach in the Premiership at the present time, as things stand. Rode out last season's difficulties,could be the team have turned a corner and set to challenge for more silverware.
