Lost for words...obviously the linesman thought it was still the days of Fergie and no VAR. He's literally inline with the useless slab head.

Only saw bits of the game...missed the Auba goal. Not sure what's worse, I want to say the linesman but what the hell is going on with Maguire's positioning, what's he thinking there?!

It really was not his fault. This picture does not show everything. They were in possession of the ball a second before that. Then the guy next to him (Fred?) misplaced a pass to Saka and he passed to Auba for a 1-on-1.

How the F**k does the linesman give that off?

That's the good side to VAR right there though, now let's have the balls to use it on other decisions.

Makes up for the first manc goal in that fixture last season which was offside, but VAR was not around so the cheating manc got away with it then. Not now. The mancs don't "get" decisions anymore, they get correct decisions instead.

Which begs the question - how long is a keeper's shelf life at the very very top? The very very best seem to have a run of 5/6 years where they are infallible and then they lose that along the way.

That's not to say I think Lloris has been anywhere near the level of De Gea, Neuer, Alisson and the likes in recent years but regardless, Lloris was still a heck of a much better keeper than he showed in recent months.

Hugo Lloris makes Loris Karius look like Alisson! Poch is on borrowed time. All that money spent in the summer on the back of a new stadium, if they miss out on top 4 then they are going to have to sell some players IMO. As well as losing Eriksen on a free.

Bad times to be a Spurs fan.

Aye I agree pal. Levy the tight arse won't be happy with going backwards after the money spent on both players and the stadium.

Just seen Lloris' injury.  Arms definitely are not supposed to bend that way.  Looks very painful and a big lay off from him.

Having said all that, not quite sure what he was trying to do with that save in the first place?

Spurs in massive trouble.  Longer Pochettino stays the more damage he is going to do to his reputation.

Do you have some kind of alert set up for whenever VAR is mentioned on the Internet? F**k me. Same post repeated again and again ffs.

Nah,  he's just good had a good press. Always had mistakes in his game,  similar to mistakes we've castigated our keepers for.

Talking of VAR.  Spot on with that Crystal Palace winner that the ref didn't give.

I have already noticed that we're not talking about the referees anymore.

There's been debate for a long time that home teams and the big teams tend to get favourable decisions from the referee's.  Well the league table is looking quite interesting after a quarter of the season thanks to VAR correcting this bias.

10 points clear of 3rd place after 8 games. I might be wrong but I can’t remember any of the last few seasons having a gap like that. It wasn’t really until the turn of the year that us and City pulled away from Spurs last season.

A Newcastle win today puts the bitters in the bottom 3.

Also obviously means them beating United which would be great too.

They've beat Spurs already this year so not out of the realms of possibility.

      Howay the lads.

Embarrassing to hear city fans adopting our songs.

Heard something that sounds like Allez, allez, allez and Bobby firmino’s one so far.

      Cringeworthy.
