Not sure we've covered ourselves in glory with the organisation behind this mini tour. Two games clumped together right at the start of the tour, playing on pitches clearly not suitable for football. Yes we've earned some dollar from it but it just seems a bit of a mess to me.
I'm glad we're back off to Europe to play a couple of games on proper pitches before things get going again.
Got nothing against the club going around the world to play footie in pre-season but the schedule was ridiculous and yes - playing in baseball stadiums to satisfy the egos of our baseball-club owners is a step too far.
I very much doubt Klopp got anything significant out of the whole experience apart from probably more stress and worry.
Real stuff starts on the 9th August and that's the only result that's going to matter.
I knew it was too good to be true Migs looking decent...Karius would have been proud of that howler.
It's been a constant, and often proved true, criticism of Mignolet. When he has time to think about shots he makes howlers, and when he is forced into quick reaction saves without having time to think (as he did towards the end of the half) he does a decent job. I refuse to believe Klopp when he says he can't improve the squad when Mignolet is in every 18 man squad.
These little differences are why Man City could have a stab at winning trophies with their second XI and why we'd have no chance.
