Great half of football

Enjoyable first half.

Entertaining half of football, our front three being sloppy so far.

As if all of the front three are playing sh*te at the same time

Couple of missed opportunities but their defence is playing well to be fair. All got a nice touch and well organised.
Can they do it for 90 though. Pretty sure they’ll tire around 70 mins.

Should be ahead, definitely finished that half the better and most dangerous team.

Matip and Milner have struggled so far in large parts, sloppy with the ball and getting turned easy. Had their bright moments though, Matip in particular with some important headers.

Fabinho has been different class, bossing it.

Good game. From memory about 2 fouls in the half! Love it when a referee is like that. Unless it’s blatant just carry on.

Fabinho has been immaculate.

Thought Trent done well in defence, as well as VVD.

Midfield working hard.

They aren’t playing sh*te. Lots of good link up play between them and good movement, it’s just that final decision and incisiveness that they’ve been lacking. Far from sh*te.

Well, I wasn't expecting that!

Looks like Napoli decided to fight fire with fire, and we've just stood up and gone toe to toe with them.

Fabinho and Henderson playing well, Milner looks a bit rusty.

The front 3 doing a good job of not giving their back line any breathing space, and they've forced some errors.

Big shout out to Matip and Adrian, but the whole defense is doing pretty well.

One thing that is pissing me off is how F***ing snidey Napoli are, but our lads aren't biting.

Pitch looks really big & so much space to run into, just keep it tight & hopefully nick a goal..

A draw away in a European night is a good result..

Koubibaly is some player mind. Think the counter will win it for us  just lacking final ball a few times could have been in

Happy with the performance.

Adrian - good saves and clearing the ball well under pressure.  TAA much better defensively.  VVD and Matip doing well.  Robertson doesn't look like he suffered any kind of knock.

Fabinho.  World class.

Passing is not right. Too short. Too slow. Not enough to pass through a Napoli side who are clearly up for this.
We need to just up the tempo, pass the ball crisp, and crack on.

Great half of football I think we just sneaked it, Bobby's header should have found the net but not too worried, I think we'll win this, Napoli will tire make a few errors and Bob's yer Aunty,  we will capitalise, happy enough with the performance, just needs a goal and they'll disintegrate before our very eyes.

No good no good, we gave them too much space and time on the ball while they gave us none. Our players must not stay static, move around to make it difficult for them to mark us. Salah must change his style of play, go run and receive the pass and not wait for the pass to reach him, defenders moved ahead for the ball before Salah gets to it. They played a very high line and its not difficult to beat their back four if our passes had been more accurate. They ran a lot, hope they get tired and we go for the kill.

In summary they played a very highline to stop our attack and  we need to make them pay.

Dont think this is a game for the current version of Ox. Need the solidity of proper central midfielders. Would only swap what we have now for Wijnaldum if I had to. A point tonight would be decent.

The idea is to make it less comfortable for napoli's defence. They have it too easy in the frst half. Yes stability in midfield is needed first.
