Real improvement needed in the second half

One pass the ball will zip across the surface, next it sticks a bit.
Happened to TAA a couple of times, and Sheffield are dealing with it better than we are at the moment.

Even so, we should be leading against a physical, well drilled team who are playing pretty well.

This team needs a midfield maestro ala hazard and we will tear teams apart and don't expect Ginny and Hendo to play that role.

I would be bringing Ox on as soon as, possibly for Hendo. We need more creativity in the middle. This game would suit Origi aswell.

Created some good chances those last 10 minutes. More of that and we’ll score soon enough. Credit to them, they have defended superbly, have done a great job in taking away space for Trent and Robbo and have kept our front three quiet.

Key for me is getting the ball into Firmino’s feet. Also need to keep hitting Mane with that ball over the top because they are squeezing up very quickly. Lack of guile in midfield hurting, we really need someone to break lines and Matip is the only player who has even attempted it. Ox will be on fairly early 2nd half if it’s still scoreless I should think. Origi could also be a good option.

I’m confident the goal will come. It’s very difficult to play with the discipline, intensity and concentration that they have shown fir a full 90 minutes. There will be more space as the game goes on and we will create chances. 2-0 the Reds. Bobby and Mane with the goals.

Not going to bother listening to the half time analysis because you just know how much they’re going to talk up Sheff Utd. Fair play they’ve done a decent job but if it wasn’t for our poor finishing, we would be 2-0 up.

We aren't playing like rubbish, we are doing ok but lack some magic up front. Fabinho so far has been good as well as Matip and VVD. our midfield needs to improve as Henderson and Wijnaldum don't offer much creativity.

Sheff Utd have done well, dug deep, created problems with their long ball and tried to hit us on the counter.
