Van Den Berg mistake that

Well we needed a bit of luck tonight and have got none of it. Bit of a shame to be 3-0 considering the overall performance but it shows our frailty at the back which isn't exactly unexpected. Not strong enough in the tackle and shaky with the ball back there.

The only players who I think have failed to really show any prospect about them so far is Van Den Berg and Kane. VDB at fault for the 3rd goal and Kane largely at fault for the first by giving away that stupid handball.

Elliot and Hoever for sure are head and shoulders above the rest with the level they’re at though.

Scoreline is a harsh reflection on the majority of the half so far though. Was vital we took any chances we got so to get as many as we had at 0-0 and not take them was a killer blow

We made our choice, the right one in my estimation, but no way do we deserve to be 3-0 down!

Put Hoover and Elliot with the first team players and neither one would look terribly out of place..Elliot at 16 has no ceiling by the looks of him.

Hard to underestimate that the core strength you need to be a centre half can't  be taught when you're 17.

17 year old defenders against fully grown blokes no matter how limited won't ever catch on.

It’s a shame we didn’t have Jones and Brewster playing, think the scoreline would have been a lot closer if they were. Just need that extra bit of quality along with Hoever and Elliot

I think there's a good reason why those two have been included in the senior squad on a few occasions.

Well this will now serve as background noise only for me.

A good bright start, we look ok going forwards although lacking any killer instinct but defensively we are awful, with exception of Hoever, but thats to be expected when it's boys against men.
Elliott really stands out, wow what potential that lad has.

Pretty harsh score line, but we do look like conceding every time they go forward...
