Just over 48 hours until we play another match.

Wolves have rebounded from a slow start and have a decent position in the league while still alive in Europa League play.

On paper this might look like a letdown game for us after such a sparkling performance vs. Leicester City.

Playing less than 72 hours from the previous game might call for some rotation as well, but my hope is Jürgen can go with the same 11 for this match as vs. Leicester. The Sheffield match will be in another three days after this one and that might be a better chance to rotate. On the other hand, Jürgen may choose to rest a few players for this, a few for Sheffield and a few for the Everton match on  Jan. 5.

He did say in this morning's presser that he expects all of last night's bench (Milner, Lallana, Origi, Shaqiri, Jones, Williams) plus Harvey Elliott and maybe Rhian Brewster to be involved over the next few games. Not sure if he means they will get on the park - I doubt he's promising that at this point.

Looking forward to seeing us keep this unbelievable run going.

Can see Hendo, Gini, Bobby and Sadio rested for this. the '4 other adult players' might actually start here. Could be a 4-4-2 against their 3-5-2

Liverpool to wear FIFA Champions Badge against Wolves
Liverpool will debut the gold FIFA Champions Badge during Sunday's encounter with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield.

Jürgen Klopp's side will wear the emblem on their shirts for a one-off occasion in the Premier League.

The Reds earned the logo – 78 millimetres by 57 millimetres in size – after winning the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time in Qatar last weekend.

The team will also sport the badge for matches in the Champions League.

A FIFA spokesperson told Liverpoolfc.com last week: "As per the usage guidelines, the winning team can wear the FIFA World Champions Badge from the day it becomes champions up to and including the final of the next edition of the tournament."

My mistake - I had the time wrong. I was thinking 4:30 UK time and transliterated it wrong.

Fixed. Don't know if it was me or the Mods - but thanks.

This is going to be a tough game and Wolves are going to be on a high after that result. Saying that we’re on a wee bit of a high ourselves and, at Anfield, I can’t see anything other than another reds win. Went for 2-1.

That was the line up I was thinking of as well. (Maybe swap Milner and Naby's positions.) Fresh midfield, but still quality. Wolves don't have the same strength in depth and will probably be pretty knackered.

Be interesting to see Robbo up against Traore. Suspect the big man will have his ankles nipped a few times. Robbo will be up for the challenge anyway, we know that.

Let the injured players parade the World Cup before the game its been done before 55 years ago. Our boys look like they could take on anyone at the moment the confidence is high and the level of football we are playing is as good as it gets.

      Watched Wolves v City earlier.
Going back a while, gobs***e Kyle Walker said they were that good, they could play blindfolded.
Well, News for you Kyle, today you played like you were blindfolded.
On to Wolves. I like the way they try to play decent footy with the ball on the floor. Traore poses a threat with his pace and powerfull distance shooting.
We play anywhere near our best and we should have too much for them.
3:0 to the Red Men as long as we don’t make too many changes. I know the lads need a rest, but we are looking so good, it would be such a shame to disrupt the rhythm.

Wolves are a tough opposition and will be on a high after the City win, but they would have had about 40 hours between the City game ending and ours starting so we've had an extra day. They may have had an extra man vs City but they were pushing the entire game, we can wear these down in the first half. Don't need to go crazy, just a patient sensible approach and get them chasing the ball and they will tire and we can then just pick them off. The last thing their wide players will want is to be chasing after Trent, Robbo, Mane and Mo all game, especially Doherty who looked shattered by the end of the City game.

We are world champs, but this is not moment to think about this. they dont understand , yes we can preen our feathers, but there is still a job to do.  Only Half way through the season here, as well as other compts. Jurgan has got these focusing on the next one. Great to have this badge on owr shirts, but it means nothing at the mo

Dont see how this is getting in the way, if anything will give our boys another boost.

Their success deserves recognition, and it is being recognised. F**k all wrong with that, and I'm fully expecting whatever the team, whatever the result that our lads are totally focussed on the job at hand.

Milner for Hendo is the only change I think we'll see, to be honest.

Harsh. People need recognition and celebrating success is part and parcel of work and in your own words, getting a job done. You need to recognise and motivate your people if you want them to fight for you, something Jurgan has done very well.

Motivation comes in two forms - carrot and stick. In this situation it's recognising success and motivating people. We'll discuss the stick some other time. You could either be a staff or a boss, either way you'd understand rewards and recognition. If you're a student, you'd understand recognition even more. Nothing wrong with recognising success for best performance outcome.

Let's put it this way, I'm sure the badge isn't to blame if we pick up zero points after today.

Don’t know why but think shaq will come in for Salah otherwise same team.

Won’t be an easy game they have some clever players that can hurt you.

Wont be easy, but we should win we have ground out results and rode our luck a bit this season. All signs of a very good team, I might add. The last 3 or 4 games we have played some lovely football and may just be starting to hit form.

I think there might be quite a bit of rotation for this match, certainly the front line with Origi and Shaq starting.

Wolves are a decent team but they'll be knackered after the match against Citeh and I think we'll have to much for them, just need to keep Traore quiet.

this will be a tough game if we don't get a early goal they are well known for scoring later on in games.....like the remaining games I would happily take a 1-0 win

Tough game today but will be interesting to see what team they play. They played the same starting 11 their last two games. Same with us, not sure who starts but I suspect Origi, Lallana and possibly Shaq will get the nod.

Fancy us to win a close game 2-1

Agree, in fact if it were down to me, 10 mins before KO, I'd knock on their dressing room door,  March in with big ears, the super cup, and the club WC, and say take a good f***in look muther fuckers, coz it's the closest you'll ever f***in get to winning any of them,
Then walk out listening to their knees knocking together ! !

Same side that Battered Leicester, it's criminal to change such a dominant team, play the strongest possible X1 as much as possible,  we can rest players against that shower of sh*te across Stanley park in the worth F**k all cup,
I think we are peaking at exactly the right time,  we seen V Leicester a marked improvement in performance as opposed to recent games,
Wolves are a decent outfit, There ain't many that come back from being behind and beat City , albeit with a extra body,
They are well organised and will pose a threat with their pace,
So for me we need to be at our best to ensure yet another 3 points.

It's a tough call this one..I mean not the result but the manner of it. They could go early and we put the skids under them. They could also fly by the seat of their pants and take us to the wire. Always hard to second guess yer man Klopp but we trust him to put the right side out there.

First home game after winning the Fifa world club cup, let's hope we play like champions and beat a very decent Wolves side. I am sure our fans going today will look forward to this game with relish, with another trophy to the club's name.

4-0 against Leicester was fairly easy wasn't it, I predict a similar scoreline today. Wolves will be absolutely knackered after the Citeh match, we need to exploit that.

I think we will see some rotation mate, I think the manager is looking at the season as whole and doing everything he can to ensure optimum fitness toll may. I’ve got no problem with that given how well the squad players have been playing

Can’t have a hangover for this one after the thrashing of LC. Don’t believe your own hype boys, go out and do the business and get three points. Just a touch worried this could be a bit of a banana peel game. Not sure why, just a niggling feeling it will be tougher than it looks. Still think we should win, but maybe closer than comfortable.

Just to say again rotation should come more for the match on Thursday, with Jürgen playing a strongest team today and vs. Everton.

As Klopp says, you like to keep the rhythm of the squad but some times player fitness won't allow it.  Hopefully no changes today

Lots of rotation in this next 3 or 4 games, i think we may not want to admit it to ourselves, but pressure is off a little now and if Klopp has any worries about players fitness levels hes going to give them a rest.
