Adrian passed that ball to the only area in front of him with their players in it for their first.

Shocking bit of football to be honest.

Yeah, watch it back and all the players are pointing play it left

Oh yeah it was a shocking mistake. But all players can make them. Just saying it's more likely with a 2nd choice.

No point crucifying the guy, he's been an upgrade on Karius and (arguably) an upgrade on Migs. An absolute top class goalie is not going to come and be 2nd choice. It'll be hard for Adrian to recover from this, and probably we will get in somebody else in the summer, but in the meantime he is our back up for Alisson and there's no point hammering him.

Karius was sh*t but he was also young and niaive.

Adrian is a seasoned experienced keeper he should never make the basic errors he has made the last couple of games.

He should have hoofed the F***ing ball up the pitch. Kicking it straight to an Athletico player was just completely irresponsible towards his team mates who worked their socks off the whole game to be in front.

Conceded 3 - that is terrible to be fair - leaking goals left right and centre

Come on. Once we let in the first we were going out on aggregate and had to gamble and they hit us on the break. We did very little wrong defensively in that game (apart from our goalie).

I think the competition needs to binned off With all this Covid-19  ...

At least less matches means less chance of the virus getting to the team, a Juventus player tested positive tonight. I could see it being badly affected by the pandemic.

Outcomes are fine. It’s the manner we achieved the outcome. Those goalie mistakes should have been avoided at this level in the first place. Rocky.

I’m as heartbroken and disappointed as anyone, but can we just spare a thought for Adrian, I cannot even begin to think how bad he feels tonight! This could destroy him, he needs our support, if we’d just scored a few of our many chances, Adrian’s errors would not have mattered! We are out of Europe, but we are about to win the League for the first time in 30 years, we have so much to look forward to, so let’s just accept what we can’t change and totally embrace what is about to happen! Proud of this team, this club, this manager and our fantastic supporters.  :kop5cf8koxp6: :scarf: :kop5cf8koxp6:

wow all you fvkers moaning about Adrian you all changed your fvking tune he was the cat whiskers at the start of the season when Ali was out. Adrian cost us these 2 big games thats how it is just move on, out forward have to take some blame for not putting their chances away we win as a team and we lose as team fvking move on

calm down, if you read my other posts then you will see that im not moaning. He made a mistake tonight and against Chelsea. can happen to anyone.
That said, I like the guy, but he is our weakest link. lets win the league then see if a youngster is good enough to be second or get one in.

Feel for him but its a question now about how do you have two goalkeepers of similar ability and keep them happy. We lost tonight because Allison is so good that any other goalkeeper will be a huge step down in class

We'll need him for the next two matches so I hope our fans at those matches show a lot of support for him. He messed up today, which one of the reasons we lost (the other being us not taking our chances) but he's our main keeper until Alisson comes back after the break.

      Come on.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has hardly done 90 minutes all season and Henderson went off after 105 minutes - he's been out for about a month.

You can't criticise Klopp for bringing on fresh legs to try and get an advantage late on.

He is a clueless c**t and can't change a game.

It's hard Walt and Adrian has done some good things for us but tonight just highlights how important Allison is for us.

The only better option is a really talented youngster who wants to learn from the big man.

Adrian error aside the defence for what ever reason has not looked as solid as it was at the start of the season when we could have just played with just 2 at the back.

Complacency, fatigue, pressure or maybe just a culmination.

      Some good news though -

      @OptaJoe

20 - Roberto Firmino has scored his first goal at Anfield in 20 games in all competitions, since netting vs Porto in April 2019 - 337 days ago. Overdue.

Hopefully this marks the start of him going on a run of goal scoring at Anfield.
Lets all face it, he as been pretty poo for a while now, maybe 10  or 12 games in a row. ihope he will turn the corner and deliver what he has done

If you watch it back you can see Virgil and a few others instructing him to basically take a touch and play it out to the left where there wasn’t a single Atletico player. They are all pointing out towards Robbo.

I love all 3 of the front 3, but to not look at upgrading upfront is foolhardy. If we wanna truly be great for years to come we have to make some hard decisions and spend. Shankly and Paisley did it, it IMO if we are to evolve Klopp must consider it. Not saying any or washed up, just saying weigh all options
