We’ve waited 30 years for this, every single one of us wants to celebrate, the vast majority of us have done it in a careful and sensible way, given the times we are living through. I totally got Thursday night outside Anfield, it was spontaneous, last night was organised, I hope we can find out who was behind it and ban them for life.
I think we know who was behind it. What we don't know is what their allegiance is. Unless he is a sth or member, there's not a lot the club can do. Euronews described our title win as "tainted", because of "rowdy and sometimes violent fans" for the whole world to read on tv, because someone caused minor damage. I know that in other parts of the world, there are sometimes hundreds of arrests at such street parties, and some more unfortunate people don't ever make it home. I don't want to sound a killjoy, but I can't say I really approve of the celebrations at the ground either. We all know why, but virus or no virus, I will never understand why people feel the urge to go to a stadium that is closed and has no activity on. Would they go to stand outside a pub for hours if it was shut?
On the rest of it, we as a club went out of our way to remind fans how best to celebrate, and pleaded with the blueball mayor and his authorities, that we could be trusted to behave ourselves. We will be league champions for at least the next 300+ days, not 3 hours. All the minority have done instead is hand the "told you so" mob, free ammo to hit the rest of us who celebrated responsibly, with the outdated stereotypes. Again.
