My only surprise is that it no English officials were making that decision. I feel it's been quite rare that kind of VAR cock up in FIFA/UEFA competition.

Easily the most technically gifted player we've had in midfield for quite some time.

I did have doubts if his fitness would get in the way of really getting a run of games but looks like any of those niggles are behind him.

Agree mate. Said the other week it's those two plus one other for me more often than not.

To me honest I still think we have some fans who don't truly appreciate that we have one of the world's best midfielders playing for us and Thiago still sits a little under the radar

You see criticisms that he's 'too loose' or 'gives the ball away easily' with no recognition of that fact that he's still a good number of games from hitting his peak form due to injury and other things blighting his time here at Liverpool.

Yesterday was probably my ideal midfield. Grift of Hendo*, vision of Thiago and the defensive intelligence of Fabinho. Get those three playing regularly and in time it'd be quite special. (Jernaine Jenas of all people said on MOTD that that combo had only played 3 times together beforehand.)

You could swap in Milner for Hendo at any time for that graft. Would give Thiago more space on the ball with one of Hendo or Milner.

Certainly showing his true worth to the side, when fully fit. Hope Thiago stays fit, he will certainly give the midfield a boost, with his skills and goals. There should be plenty more to come from this excellent player !

Every players hits bad passes in every game. His look worse, cos he is usually so good, the couple of mistakes he makes are highlighted more.

One thing you notice (among the tens you can notice when he's playing) is that he really does make a difference in the pace of the game. When you need someone to take the sting out of it he's the one you pass the ball to. When you need someone to jumpstart a move from the back because you're looking for a goal he's the one you pass the ball to.

We wouldn't had drawn two two games agains Brentford and Brighton had he been in the team on those two occasions. I dare use the ''Rolls Royce'' expression to describe the type of midfielder this man is.
