He is in sensational form. I always thought he was technically gifted but he's just so hot in terms of scoring and how directly he impacts the team. Full of punch and vigour and important interventions that change the game. Long may his little head pop up in surprising places for the benefit of LFC.

Going under the radar a bit that he’s actually the 2nd top scorer in the league as things stand.

It’s great Bobby is back but right now, Jota’s place should be firmly nailed on.

Jota is his own man and he stands alone with his record when in the team. A cracking player who works just as hard for the team as anyone does a great signing who gets better and better.

Same here. I didn't know all that much about him but back when we were rumored for him there were a few who would have preferred Sarr or Jimenez, let alone Werner, or didn't even rate him all that much.

Jota is just another example of how freaking good this team is at identifying talent. And Jota's transfer also came out of nowhere. I think the same day we were linked to him he became a Red.

Ripping player, Was so glad to see his name on the bench when we started. At least I knew he would come on at some stage and give us something we were lacking. He did that in spades!

Love this kid. Scmichel laid the ball in front of him and waited for Jota to leave his spot and retrieve the ball. BS mind games. Jota didn't budge and looked like he couldn't be bothered. I knew than we had won. Kids a savage.

As good as Torres was, it was only for about 2 seasons. His decline started before he left us, he was at his best for a very short amount of time. Jota keeps going in the direction he is then I see no reason why he won’t become a bigger player for us than what Torres was, and hopefully for a lot longer than Torres. Jota may not have a 30+ goal season but there’s every chance he will repeatedly hit 20+.

Jota really stepped up tonight, looked lively, chased and ran with the ball and took his 2 good goals well.
