Maybe when Alisson is back between the sticks Joe and Fab might be a solid pairing at CB.

I know we lose out on Fab's midfield presence but he looks a fine CB option.

Get Hendo on for Milner and I'd suggest any one taking Adrian's place, he makes the defenders nervous.
Other than that I thought we grew into the game, Fabinho superb and good from young Curtis.

Fabinho is great at CB. Rather him and one other form a CB partnership than have both Gomez and Matip together tbh.

Robertson has been immense.

Bobby not offering much up top again I'd drop him into midfield instead of Milly and have Minamino go up top.

Miss him badly in midfield.  As for Bobby in midfield he is too lightweight and frankly after that little trick on the edge of the box I would haul him off.

Happy to finish 1st half up 1-0, I’ll take it. Need to shut down shop in 2nd half and play more on the counter. A little better last-pass and we could carve them up.

Cracking passing team, clever..so they will create stuff.Fab in playing out of his skin. Jones has done OK.

I think it was a good half from us.  There were some nervy moments in defence but get better as the half went on.  Fabinho has been magnificent, good performances by Robbo and Mane too.   A win would be brilliant any kind will do.

Sadio Mane is the best winger in world football imo; he has been such as threat tonight.  Fabinho is also the best DM, and although he hasn’t played CB often, I’d go go as far to say he could be one of the best CBs in the world as well. We have so many incredible players.

Milner rusty as F**k, and the touch of a rapist, Fabinho is f***in boss at the back but miss him as DM, I'd give it ten more and swap Jimmy for Hendo,
we could be 2/3 up easily, if we can up the tempo we'll batter them, they can't cope with us being in 3rd gear, so move up one or two and we'll get 3 or 4,

What a clearance from Fab tho, world class and so assured in a unfamiliar role.

Against bitters few of us were saying that bobby needs rest, and Jota should start instead of him. I have the same feeling tonight, im bobbys biggest fan but he needs rest, and Come in late game to Get in form.
