When does next season start?

Liverpool look exactly like a team who spent 30 years trying to win the league.  Did it.  Then don't know what to do next.

Said it a while ago as well.

This team is mentally spent after that push to the title after two previous seasons chasing down City as well.

I think chances of winning on Sunday is very very difficult, a draw is also not looking good. But we need to win. We need Kabak in defence. And Mane and Alison back.

We are in a terrible situation now where all the smaller clubs in the league will be using this very tactic against us. If City fancy playing for a point on Sunday all they have to do is adopt this tactic. After ten minutes I could tell we weren’t going to score because it was literally passing round the back and midfield. Maybe inviting teams forward against us is the way forward so it opens up some space at the back. It says it all that Dan Burn had more shots on target than we had meaningful shots. So many regulars missing really doesn’t help but the players out there have more than enough ability to turn teams like Brighton and Burnley over. Klopp has to get a plan b otherwise we will be in for a lot more of the same.

You do them injustice. They looked great going into the season. We had 5 points lead over City at one point. We scored second-most goals so far. Made CL KO stages.

Potter definitely studied the Atalanta game at Anfield, that was a carbon copy. 3 up front pushing on into spaces to stop us playing out then getting back into shape and with the ball playing wide and getting runners in, repeat. They're all doing their homework against us.

This is prime example of how going into the season unprepared has cost us. We literally have no midfield balance, which is a big reason why the forward line isn’t working too.

We have a world class player in Thiago but he cant operate his style without a holder behind him, we can’t play fast forward because the players who do that are going the opposite direction winning the ball.

We used to not have to worry about defence because Hendo or Fab would mop it up and get it moving the other direction in a blink of an eye.

Get him back into midfield, let Thiago do his thing, and watch the difference, even with new CBS playing, they’ve got a better chance of kicking on with Hendo in front of them.

Haven't looked at the stats but I'd imagine Thiago has the worst outfield record of any Liverpool player this season in terms of results

Wonderful player but does not look the right fit at all for us.  Maybe if he had time to bed in it might be different but balls pinged into feet at speed is not what its about - its about playing it in to space for us to run on to.

They looked a bit fu**ed last season after holding us off for the title in 18/19!

Our problem is we've lost focus and on top of that suffered one of the worst injury crises I've ever seen.

As a result we'll have a massive scrap just to finish 4th.

They seem to be working a whole lot harder than we are at the moment on the pitch during a game.

At least we were consistent as a team as virtually every player apart from the keeper and CB’s stunk the place out.
