Good finish by Rice, Martinez needs to looks at his positioning before blaming anyone else.

Can't believe I'm seeing a comment about a must win game at this stage of the season. Against West Ham nonetheless

Away to West Ham I fancy us to get something. They will be full of confidence and attacking more and that’s when we exploit.

      Should be a good game.

Well that’s that, Villa are a f**king joke this season.

In a way it’s ironic. They are looking like nothing without Grealish, despite spending every penny they got for him. Meanwhile Grealish is being shown to not be good enough for City. Not quite sure who actually benefitted from that deal because it’s not working out for anyone apart from the agent so far.

Nuno gone. Ridiculous appointment really, was always going to happen you appoint your 7th choice for the job.

Apparently they are trying for Conte again.

Spurs now have 6 or 7 club financially better off or have better squads mid table beckons unless they invest big time.

Gosh Nuno did not last long at Spurs. Seemingly out of his depth, should have stuck at Wolves.

He seemed to enjoy being at Wolves.  Spurs was always going to be a nightmare.  No money because of the stadium.  Big expectations on the shoulders (because of reaching the CL final) and issues with your star player.

The next guy there won't fare much better.  A really unappealing job (IMO) although I'd have a crack for few million pound a year!!

Was a mistake Nuno going to Spurs but at the same time, he’d probably taken Wolves as far as he could. Right choice to move on from Wolves, but it shouldn’t have been to such a toxic club.

My days of sympathy for him are gone to be honest. Never forget what he done for us but he keeps choosing these sh*t jobs like Newcastle and Everton. Had sympathy for him at Newcastle but the day he chose Everton, having already been at Chelsea since leaving us too, was the day I stopped being bothered. Good luck to him in any future appointments he takes but can’t bring myself to wanting any good to come of anyone managing Everton. Needs to start choosing teams with some self respect instead of manager conveyor belt clubs or clubs with shitty owners.

I was gobsmacked he took the Everton job so god knows what you fans thought. For me he's not the manager he used to be anymore. Probably still better than Ole though  :D

On the whole I agree with this. Like Jose, the game has evolved and changed a lot and the way they look to have their teams play doesn’t really work as effectively now. They are in a modern game but with the ideas and views to play being 10+ years in the past.
Rafa isn’t a bad manager, far from it but he’s no longer at that elite level IMO. Happens to the majority of managers, just like it does players, it will no doubt happen to Klopp and Pep one day too if they stay in the game long enough.

To be fair there's  quite a few that haven't caught up with the modern game and Rafa appears to now be in that bracket. We've all heard the saying! " you can't teach an old man new tricks"

To think that many Liverpool fans thought he was going to make the Ev important again! So many fans of the reds massively over rate him. Listen to Gerrard and Carragher FFS.

His main achievement for his short spell at Spurs, being a huge payoff. Like you say seemingly enjoyed being at Wolves, where to my mind more in his comfort zone as a coach/manager .
