Football is stupid kid, most beautiful game yes I will say overpiriced plebs on a pitch with everyone salivating over them is weird as f**k, most people don't even give two craps in this country. Ooo they sang a song, why are supposedly hard Liverpool fans from Liverpool all easily wound up? Got to be real about this, ridiculous. I don't think of English people as fans of footy just people and I love this country so much.

Well Crunchy you must know being half Spanish, that regional differences run deep and leave lasting anger and bitterness. Merseyside generally but not exclusively feels resentment towards the so called establishment, the Tory Party, the self appointed ruling classes, Southern England generally. Certain individuals, the Monarchy, etc. We generally associate all that and much more, probably slightly unfairly at times, with the England football team.

Complex emotions at play. One eye on the results, one eye on our prejudices. The past is the past and unless your mate Einstein has created a massive worm hole we are stuck with it. Best policy is to go with the flow and pretend you hate the establishment and all they stand for.

Poland V Argentina. Massive pressure on Messi. Have to win more or less. Looks like a good match.

2-0 El Tri and 2-0 Argentina. Wild games.

As is i think Argentina finishes 1st and Poland/Mexico are tied for 2nd with each having 0 GD. Not sure what the next tie breaker is.

I'm watching the Mex-KSA game but they show goals/big plays of the other game and a couple minutes ago they showed #14 on Poland pass back to what i assume was the goalkeeper but way too short and sent Lautaro through on 1v1 vs the goalie. Shambles.

Poland's anti-football was tough to watch. Just accepting defeat hoping Argentina and Mexico wouldn't score too many. No such luxury in the knockout rounds and I think they'll be gone after the next round.

They probably knew if they went head to head with the Argies they'd go down the pan head first. So they opted for at best a draw, or a managed defeat. They just got in, slid in under the door at the last minute. A controlled defeat to put it another way. Cynical but effective they might say.
