The midfield is the issue here. Not covering the spaces and not creating much.

No space to create, though, less so if the front 3 aren't attempting runs behind the defense. The best run i remember seeing was by Ox into the box who just missed it.

Preston has been Pulis-esque in packing their defense but also very good at jumping into attack when they recover it.

I know it’s not easy for them to get much rhythm when they barely play…. But you’d hope for a bit more from some of the experienced players.

Front three doing nowhere near enough. Ox and Minamino hardly bashing down the door to the first team.

The first team has a hard time breaking down a parked bus as it is, but somehow this mix and match team is supposed to have shredded the mother of all parked buses in 45 minutes.

Phillips will be a threat from set pieces at least (if we get any).
It might be worth Jones and ox shooting from distance. They both have good shots and all it takes is a deflection.

I know Nat is never going to be Virgil but I have a soft spot for him after his efforts last season he at least will put in a shift this half.

Looks like the winner of "who's today's scapegoat" is Ox.

Why is it when a player fails to deliver time and again to the standard expected the “scapegoat” card comes out to play. It’s not scapegoating, it’s saying how it is and I know for a fact he wouldn’t have been happy with that first half performance he put in.

Gomez complaing about his game time is laughable when he puts shifts like this in.

its not a team that has played together but they train together every day and the formations will not change or the patterns of play they need to show more

Preston would love this to go to pens. We need one moment of magic or lucky deflection.
