Got to buy Declan Rice even at £100m, not even 23 yet, immense this season. Painful to watch our midfield today making poor decisions, lethargic and incapable of chasing back. Outclassed today but I suppose it's the first defeat in 25 so don't want to be too harsh but it has been coming with City, Brentford and Chelsea performances.

He would be the best investment we could make. 8+ years of rock solid bossing in the weakest part of our team

Shocker by Alisson for their first set the tone for the whole game.

      Erratic all round.

Looked to me like they had him a bit shook. They hit the bar from a another set piece. Not his finest 90mins.

He's a good player but I'd never ever buy a player based on one display on how they fared against us.

F**k me, we don't want another Charlie Adam or Adnan Bogdan on our hands

      £100 million?

Who do you want to sell to fund him?

      Mane, Salah, Trent?

** forgets that Gini was nowhere to be seen when the going got tough last season.

He was on his way out. You conveniently forget what he's done season in season out and concentrate on a few games when he knew he was done.

At least you get 60 games a season put of him and mostly good performances unlike some of whats left that goes missing every other week. If you really think we arnt worse off without gini you really need to give your head a wobble. A stupid decision that only this club would make and keep other players that klopp has no interest in playing.

Plus we kept the usual injury prone players and guess what ... they are injured again. We've stood still while others have pushed on ... AGAIN ... and in essence gone backwards.

Nowhere near good enough ... just wait till mane and salah go in January.

Rice will go to either City, Chelsea or United, I have zero expectation that we will be in the market for him

Declan Rice is a brilliant player.

But let's be realistic he'll go to City or United who can afford to buy him.

We have stood still for about 3 years now so eventually teams were going to catch on and catch up.

Sit deep and put yourself about you probably get something out of us if you stay in the game long enough.

For some reason I thought that would have left us 6 points behind Chelsea. Softened the blow a bit to see it's only four

Rare stinkers from Matip and Alisson today but nobody really came out of that with much Kudos. sh*te two weeks ahead now of waiting to put it right. Just hope the lads come back from the international break unscathed and we're ready to go again for Arsenal Saturday after next

Poor performance from the team, can't just single out one player, West Ham wanted it more and on this day earned it .First goal was clear blocking of Alison and should not have stood, Referee didn't do us any favours either, missed loads,  Nothing classy from West Ham just worked hard . Can't win them all unfortunately ! Commentators got on my tits too ! biased as F**k !

Right now we look like we need to score 3 in every game to win. Just isn’t sustainable. We have to change the way we’re playing. Just look far too open.

Who was seen last season, the whole team was dysfunctional & not for footballing reasons only..

So let’s try not to scapegoat a player that was instrumental to The success of Klopps team..

It'd help if these moron national team managers don't mishandle our players over the next week or so.

I thought we looked leggy , slow , the complete opposite to the Manchester game. Lets hope they take this as a warning because you don’t get a trophy for tearing the mancs a new one , you have to perform every game .

West Ham are a solid hard working team but that's it. We need some new blood in midfield but games like today will happen.

Didn't conveniently forget anything. But up until last season everyone for the 3/4 years before last season had it pretty rosy with very few uncomfortable spells where we really needed players to stand up and be counted to drag us through what was by far the toughest spell any of them had experienced with us. But where was Gini, hiding away waiting for his big pay day elsewhere. Christ even Lallana and Sturridge who had very little game time for us in their final years with us wouldn’t have downed tools like Gini did if they were in his position. Laughable that people say Gini this and Gini that whilst forgetting when we needed him more than ever he didn’t give a toss.

Absolutely. Happens to the best of them. I remember Reina, in his absolute prime for us, having a nightmare at Everton in 2006. Alisson's display somewhat similar.

if we use it to refocus and move on then this will be a day which we accepted our limitations and mistakes and moved forward

This team's problem is Klopp. He plays a crap system that makes midfield and defense look bad. We play too high. We need to start playing more like Chelsea with some periods of hard core pressing, say 10min. each half. Quote from Zouma: The way Liverpool play, we knew as soon as we get the ball back they're open. Klopp is a brainless rabbit without Buvac.

This team will not fight for the title. They will continue to find ways to lose points as they have up to now. The sample size is big enough to justify such an prognosis. CL is our best sh*t.
