Donā€™t know whatā€™s happened to robertson but my eleven year old son can cross a ball better than him nowadays.

He could never cross or do corners properly. That's why we got him for an apple and an egg from Hull. Kostas > Robbo, Klopp blind without Buvac who'd have lobbied for Kostas a long time ago.

So what return will be when you consider that City are on 23 and Chelsea 26 🤦ā€ā™‚ļø

Well we had to get a point or even three today, we had to get three points against Brighton We had to get three points at Brentford we are nearly a third of the season and have only two thirds of the points available, wich is not enough to win the league

He used to assist for fun mate to the point him and Trent had a little competition going on between themselves.

He also put a decent ball in today that mane should have buried.

But, in general, heā€™s quite poor going forward and has been for a while too.

I also want to say that Ali did nothing wrong. Maybe he could have defended one of the goals, but that would have been a bonus. MOTM was Salah who finally shows maxi and tries to go back to defend or to tackle someone. Didn't see it from him in previous seasons.

Yep Robbo needs leaving out, hasn't had a good game for months, but still we persist

See a fair bit of criticism for Hendo. Some for Fab.

These guys are having to play every game they possibly can because FSG let Gini and Shaq go in the summer and we didn't bring in one single f**king midfielder to freshen things up.

Tell you what, if either Fab or Hendo, or both get injured, it'll be proper carnage and we'll REALLY have something to complain about then.

100mill for Rice. Pie in the sky. We spend NOTHING in the middle in the summer. NOTHING.

Did we not spend Ā£35mil on Konate ?!

This is all reactionary bullshit - were you crying like a girl when Elliot was starting the season in midfield

As for Shaqiri - the man did F**k bar a couple of crosses and goals against UTD - this season Taki has already scored more goals than Shaqiri did last season

We have 8 centre mids in the team - one with a serious injury and the rest will be back in the next couple of weeks

Itā€™s our first defeat of the season in all comps - the way some are reacting itā€™s as if the title is gone already

We played sh*t against a very good West Ham team - Alisson had a mare with the first , poor defending for the season and a very good FK for the 3rd

We also missed plenty of chances mainly Mane missed a couple of sitters

The knifes are certainly out for the likes of Ox and Robbo etc but itā€™s just a poor game.

City and Chelsea are also going to drop points - the season is far from done

Konate is a defender who f**king replaced Lovren a year to f**king late Ginny left and f**k me who hasn't been replaced down to mingebags owners.

Did Elliot not replace Gini - and the owners donā€™t do the transfers

Itā€™s also amazing how Ginis ability has massively improved since he left - read his thread and the guy is slated constantly. Right now his spending his time earning Ā£160k a week ( after tax ) sat on the bench.

We didnā€™t lose against West Ham because Gini left

No but the owners provide the budget witch they spent on Konate as I said for a replacement for a player who left the season before and have made the same choice again Elliot is fuching 18 how the F**k dose he replace a seasoned player like Ginny, pull your nose out of JH' s arse

It felt like that today. Fabinho just doesnā€™t look fit to me and Iā€™m wondering whether he has been rushed back to play because thereā€™s literally nobody else.

People will say he did ok midweek but thereā€™s no way ox starts ahead of a fit Thiago. So I doubt Thiago is fully fit yet either.

It certainly would have helped replacing an ever present Gini, who gave big, big performances when we needed them most, with somebody of a known calibre instead of trusting a young inexperienced lad in Elliott to play out of position or a 56 year old James Milner.

The club provides its own budget based on the income of the club. And why does Elliottā€™s age matter 🤷ā€ā™‚ļø There are 7 other centre mids in the squad as well - 8 players for 3 roles

Christ give it a rest, not even gonna bother going back over this F***ing sh*t with you again.

I've already said I don't think we lost today due to midfielders, we had Hendo/Fab/Thiago available, think we lost it at the back etc

So this is not reactionary, grow up.

We had these debates in the FSG thread in the summer. You defending not replacing Gini/Shaq, others unhappy about it. Thats another conversation.

I'm saying I'm not critising Hendo/Fab today, they are playing a LOT of games. And the reason is we are currently short in the middle.  Which was a concern before the season started.

But you go on an try to take this off on another tangent if you like, fire away.

Didn't conveniently forget anything. But up until last season everyone for the 3/4 years before last season had it pretty rosy with very few uncomfortable spells where we really needed players to stand up and be counted to drag us through what was by far the toughest spell any of them had experienced with us. But where was Gini, hiding away waiting for his big pay day elsewhere. Christ even Lallana and Sturridge who had very little game time for us in their final years with us wouldnā€™t have downed tools like Gini did if they were in his position. Laughable that people say Gini this and Gini that whilst forgetting when we needed him more than ever he didnā€™t give a toss.

Whatever fella. Remember gini scoring 2 against barca ... helping us win countless games ... Mr reliable. Then they won't pay him what he deserves for a new contract. No surprise he got fed up. He gave us 5 years of performances ... yet you whine on about a few games at the end of last season. Gini did more in his first 6 months than lallana did here ... than sicknote keita will ever do ... Chamberlain, gomez and all the other crocks we are paying wages to week in week out who contribute sweet FA to this team. But you make gini a scapegoat and whine on about a few games ... if it suits your agenda. Gini didn't down tools .... no way. Gini's fault I guess we got outplayed by Brighton, Brentford and West ham ... I bet you were one of those saying Brentford will take points off other big teams  ... even Norwich won there.

Bottom line is we are nowhere near good enough. Nowhere f**king near. Maybe peddle the injuries excuse if it makes you feel better. We are a shambles.

I can sit here all night talking about underinvestment, how we have continued to stand still. How we don't improve the squad where it obviously needs improving. But I can't be arsed because it's there in black and white. If it wasn't for alisson we wouldn't even be in the top 4.

At least we've a plan eh when Mo and sadio head of to the afcon .... actually hang on ... no plan. Only this club would operate the way it does.

People need to reflect on the game so much reactionary sh*te on here bringing up old players , blaming the ref blah blah . We didn't play well and still probably deserved a point two great chances and they had very little . Two set pieces and poor keeping and defending.  On another day we might of get the benefit of some refereeing decisions,  today we didn't.  We move on and two weeks to get some players back in to fitness

Canā€™t remember us smashing sides who park the bus while Gini was here to be fair.
West Ham and Golum will take all the plaudits , but for us it was just a poor performance. It happens sometimes, Iā€™m so pissed off but it looked like it was everyone collectively, along with a piss poor ref.

So on to the next 25 game run !

The are problems in midfield ok we have lost a couple to injuries but the replacements aren't good enough Jones, Ox are not good enough Milner is too old now, Hendo rarely can change a game, and the midfield goes missing exposing the defence and not supporting the forwards

Agree with JĆ¼rgen that the first was a foul on Ali. The one on Hendo was absolutely a red and it is very odd that VAR did not even call the ref to have another look at it.

However we got it back level by half time, and then threw in a poor second half. Our FBs were both particularly poor. i know Trent scored a great free kick, but he just switched off defensively for the 2nd half. Was defending at walking pace, letting people run off him. Don't who he thought he was marking for their 3rd either, just basically opted out of defending that corner. Robbo struggled all game - didn't want to put a cross in, despite loads of opportunities, just kept coming back inside.

I had Fab as MOTM up until the hour mark, but then his legs seemed to go. Just waved a foot at their player for their second goal, when he should have been sprinting to get back goalside. No surprise JĆ¼rgen subbed him off cos he looked out of steam. Hopefully just still getting his fitness back.

Thought Hendo and Mo (and Divock) played ok. Mane worked hard but finishing was off. Ox was his usual mixed bag. Virgil was good in a series of one on ones, but him and Matip obviously didn't really assert themselves in the air on the set pieces. Everybody else was pretty poor, especially 2nd half.
