Some posters on here need to realise that you can't win every game by 4 goals and some games have to be ground out like today.
All this talk of bottling it and we won't score today f**k off and support your team when things are not going well, rant over.

Now that is what Champions do, all our great Trophy winning sides had that in them, itā€™s not over ā€˜til itā€™s over.
Huge win, well-in Origi, just donā€™t let him go!

x10. Our xG is 1.58 in 2H vs 0.23 in 1H. We were likely going to score somehow.

We were the better team, we had the better chances, and plenty, actually we played quite decent overall, but it seemed to be "one of those days"...but then his highness Divock came, the man for the really important goals.

They should go count the number of CBs weā€™re playing against. Itā€™s unusually high for an average opponent we play. Their announced three at the back formation is fake.

Would he happy with Origi starting some more, thereā€™s a natural finisher there.

Callling players bottlers isnā€™t about emotions - itā€™s embarrassing and shithouse behaviour but standard from internet fans - call the players bottlers at the game and you would get worse back at you

Think he plays much better when heā€™s deployed centrally, heā€™s wasted on the wing.

The players worked hard. Credit to them. And the decision to put on Divock turned out to important and correct. Well done all who got stuck in.

The brilliant thing about him thatā€™s heā€™s shown at least twice this season, he can score a goal with his back facing the goal, natural strikers can score from anything and he has it in him.

By the way: they already mock Jota for his miss. Everyone who ever played knows that it was trickier than it might have looked. Though it was still a mistake, he should have shot the ball high and towards one of the two angles. But again: that was not a bonehead thing, the goals was not empty at all.

Jota can be thanking his lucky stars Origi was able to do what he couldnā€™t. An unforgivable miss by Jota in what was one of the worst individual performances weā€™ve had from an attacker for a while. I donā€™t know if it was the occasion or what but his head wasnā€™t right in this game and he very nearly cost us. On the bench in place of Origi next week.

Nobody particularly played well, there were lots of individual errors and sloppy decisions from everyone, especially Van Dijk at the back.

We got away with one today, we finally showed that winners mentality to grind out a win when it looked beyond us.

Letā€™s hope we learn from this performance and perform much better next week.

You called the team that more than once, thats not emotion. If you explain your angle on it people might understand, calling a team who perform week in week bottlers because they are being held goalless is pig ignorant, not emotional

No, a player of any standard should be scoring that, you keep your composure and slot it into the corner, not blast it straight at the 2 players stood directly in front of you. There is no justification for that miss whatsoever.

F*CK me that was close  :D well in Divock Origi, he has so often produced crucial moments even when it seems has fallen out of favour. Huge victory.
