      I've went Kelleher MOTM.

Biggest compliment I can give him is we didn't notice Allison wasn't there today.

Mine too, I never get nervous with Kelleher in goal as I did with Adrian…

We didn't have to start Milner. We had another two experienced first team CM on the bench who came on in the second half.

That was my point srslfc. Milner shouldn't have started but Klopp did start him. He chose Milner ahead of Keita and Ox. That is what worries me.

Can't see how raising millions for NHS charities equates to virtue signalling. I'm guessing Captain Tom must be a virtue signaller as well

Just on the finger pointing at the owners. We can also ask has Jürgen been to loyal to players and perhaps had the chance to bring players in but chose to stay with what he had?

Fair point. Things like giving Ox a new contract just because he missed a year through injury goes towards that.

In terms of player personnel, we do need a refresh and the midfield is a massive part of that. Hendo and Milner have been horrific of late, we bring on Keita and Ox and they are every bit as bad. We have Fab but for some reason his form has dropped right off and he was poor today. Thiago IMO has head and shoulders been our best midfielder this season but he’s constantly getting injured. We have a lot of numbers in midfield but zero consistency from any of them in one way or another. I’m not saying every single one of them needs to go but Milner and Ox are 2 players who’s time has been and gone with us and whether Hendo is one to be playing week in week out with everyone fit is another question.

Chelsea bossed that midfield today with ease and it’s not the first time our midfield either gets completely outplayed or bypassed.

Our midfield with Hendo and Milner a few years ago would’ve been spot on for this game but now it’s just lumbering through a game IMO.

Agreed. We need to buy a top drawer midfielder this month

The club aren’t going to be buying someone in January

For their 2nd goal, why doesn't VVD go the the attacker with the ball, that's where the immediate danger lay and he went unchallenged to score.

This is not the first or second time I have noticed this so far this season.

We could be dragged into a battle for top 4 soon if things are sorted out.

Seriously. Is Jürgen resting Naby so he’s fresh for afcon? Really don’t get it.

Titles put the window after that unfortunately.

Got to focus on bringing some silverware this year, starting with the league cup and hopefully number 7 but if we play like we did today then we are in for a rough ride in Europe.

Don’t want to be overly critical straight after dropping points but it is starting to feel like this team is at the end of its cycle and we need some fresh bodies in there. Primarily in midfield and up front.

Again, Fab and Hendo getting a lot of stick.
Fab coming back from covid and Hendo from being sick.
I'll keep defending these guys because they shoulder the weight constantly while other players are out injured, off form, or just not good enough.
There are other midfield options available, even today, but for whatever reason management play them and leave them on the pitch even when they are not at their best.
Read into that what you will.

Fabinho has been back for a while now as have Henderson - they both played against Leicester, it’s been poor excecution today

Kante and Kovacic dominated the midfield today

We look threadbare, knackered and clueless in the centre of the pitch - we have to sign some quality players and stop relying on The same faces. Mane should be on the bench at best as he’s woefully out of form.

That we’re going to lose Keita for a month and instead of playing him we’re starting Milner ahead of him in a huge league game.

Haha, well get use to it mate. Missed about 40% of the games in his career. I love the dude, but sadly we'd be wise to learn to adapt without him.

he is going to be another Naby we will keep saying he just needs game time and then get  injured. I can see this season fizzling out by April
