And.....just like that.....a team with NO QUALITY DEPTH finished the month of January undefeated, advancing to the next round of FA Cup, the League Cup final and securing 6 points in the league outscoring opponents 12-2, with goals from 7 different players, including 4 goals from our 6th, 7th and 8th forward options and 4 from our DM.

Poor 2nd half. We offered pretty much nothing up front. And they looked dangerous with every ball over the back of us.

Ally the MOTM again, not sure that's a great sign, but shows the value of a top keeper, was excellent in the 2nd half [and for the two shots end of 1st]

Regardless of the performance, the important thing was the 3 points.
And we got those

And next game in the PL, we should have more options.
Gap closed by 2 !!

Got away with one today. Good first half really bad 2nd half.  Never a pen . But hey 3 points ill take it

how many trophies did we win        ?

We didn’t deserve that win but who cares. Performance was once again poor from the 40th minute onwards but you will never get through a season only getting points when you deserve them and the main thing we’ve been lacking this season is winning games that we didn’t deserve to.

Which trophy is handed out in January? but it did keep us in the running for 3 of them. Not too shabby for a team with NO QUALITY DEPTH, i would say.

we have played teams of the park and lost games so a win is a win but when you win 3-1 and our GK is MOTM a bit of a reality check is needed if you think all is rosey in the garden.

Very true bro. In a wierd way I'm always super excited when we don't play well and take 3 points, b/c I know how talented we are and that bad performances are fewer and further between.

If we win the league or the league cup we will look at this master class of coaching from Klopp. 6 points and advanced in the league cup without Mo and Mane.

Fair play to Fab and Ox in this time. Both stepped up during this time. Fab is amazing.

55 mins in one game against a very good team at home shouldnt ever define anything.

To hear some of you lot you'd never think we've had games like this on our way to silverware in other years.

Yes they got into the game after we've been very sloppy, the keeper kept us in it but we've had far worse times than this.

None, but it did keep us in the running for 3 of them. Not too shabby for a team with NO QUALITY DEPTH, i would say.

there your words dont try and put them on others. you need quality and quantity and if you watched that game and think we are going to win the league or the CL then good luck with that. Winning ugly is great but we fell apart after 30 mins couldnt pass or tackle and created very little

3 points and move on. But this was actually a game where our opponent was the better team overall.

18 days until next league game . Long time that think more than you think will play against Cardiff all AFCON boys could easily be back before the week is out

Its a fair point, winning when not playing well. But that was something else, it was losung confidence in our abilities once we made 1 mistake, then we went into a shell, thats my worry, as oppossed to not playing well

I didn't see it like that really Bri.

More we took our foot off the gas, sloppy passing let them in then they go their tails up aided by that crowd.

Sometimes the momentum is hard to get back and that's what happened today.

This game was never going to be easy,although we nearly created our own  downfall. Undefeated in January and two points closer them.
