MOTM to Jota. Good call by Ally McCoist on VVD as well. Without him, the defence would have been a lot more suspect today.

Just watching Diaz off the ball since he come on and he definitely looks like he could work on his movement and positioning

He's been in Liverpool for what? 2 days? I think he's done as well, or better, than we could have asked for.

Odd - I can see where ConsZ is coming from. He was not great for their goal, allowed his opponent to get the run on him in the first half. Mistimed a couple of headers - he's looked rusty.

To be expected, probably only understands the Spanish/Portuguese speaking players currently. Different system and demands but tidy enough performance given he’s only been in the country for about 2 days.

Maybe harsh from me. He was out of position for the goal and made some sloppy passes, maybe not a nightmare but didn’t cover himself in glory for sure.

Rusty as expected but the subs helped and comfortable enough in the end.

      Absolutely delighted for Harvey.

Considering Diaz has had literally a few hours with the squad he has looked lively and has an assist too. What has happened to Curtis he seems weighed down by the shirt now . All in all an improving performance and players getting a touch after a break.
Get Mo and Sadio back firing with this squad everything is possible

Much better performance after we took off Jones and Keita for Elliott and Diaz. Elliott picked up where he left off with a very good performance. Made up that he got his first goal for us on his return so man of the match for me.

For all the criticisms of some players I suppose we're quite fortunate that this was the perfect game to blow off some cobwebs.

I think he had a rough afternoon for suee but at his age and in his first season in England it's all part of the experience.

Matip straight back in for Thursday though.
