      Pre-Match: Liverpool v Norwich; Saturday Feb 19th 3 pm
      Feb 17, 2022 03:09:54 pm
Liverpool hope to keep their momentum rolling with a Saturday afternoon match at Anfield vs. Norwich City. The East Anglian side sit 18th in the table and four points from the last survivor position, but managed a draw vs. Palace and a win over Everton in recent weeks (before losing 4-0 to Man City).

Jürgen's mission will be to guard against complancy, but also to find the right combination of freshness for a match that comes less than 70 hours after the conclusion of the CHampions League game in Italy, and about the same amount of time before a home kickoff with Leeds on Wednesday. Much has been written about the newfound depth in the squad, but there is still the matter of picking the right players for the right games and the players then justifying their inclusion with their performance.

Is this a game to consider resting Trent and Virg??

Keep the 3 points coming, bit of pressure on city then at 5.30, where if Spurs could nick a point.......

I'd expect to see the old familiar front three, Mo, Bobby and Sadio. In the middle of the park, wouldn't be surprised to see Ox get a game with Thiago and maybe even Naby. Out back it's probably about time for a Kostas sighting....Konate and Matip together and Trent.

Actually on further thought, no way that Fab or Hendo won't be in there so I suppose the other two will be either of Ox and Keita and Thiago

No way Gomez plays right back in a Klopp system with the injuries he’s had - and his attacking ability
Maybe for the last 5 to shore it up when we aren’t on the front foot, but starting? No chance

I dont see Trent managing 25 games straight between now and the end of the season. Hell need a break somewhere. Heres as good a chance as any, and Im not sure who the better option than Joe is to come in, he also needs minutes. Bradley?

Just think its too big an ask to expect to get the best from Trent by playing him every game

Another reds game not on TV in Britain.

I reckon thats about 5 premier league games thats not been on sky, BT or Amazon.

Few seasons ago, almost every game was shown.

Anyway, apart from that I fancy us to give this lot a proper doing, Mane & salah to score a couple each.

Need to play a full strength side, even against struggling Norwich. I am sure our forwards Salah and Mane will be eager to add to their goal tally, with  strong midfield to back them up, another win well and truly on the cards.

Not too fussed if it’s on TV in the U.K. or not, I’ve not paid for Sky or BT Sport for years, I just stream every game anyway

Its a 3pm saturday ko, so thats why this one is not on, but they usually move ko to suit tv anyway.

Just feels like this season theres been a lot of LFC games not picked for TV here.

I love the analysis after the game and the UHD. So that’s why I spend a fortune on having sky. BT sport I just log into my old man’s account.

He has my Disney and Prime - so it’s a good little trade.

This is deffo a game to rest anybody whose fitness we're even slightly worried about...  But I'd not rest Mo or Sadio - They need to get used to banging in lots of goals again.

I'd actually start a strong side and make changes if / when we've put the game to bed.  I'd maybe keep Konate beside VVD (who must continue to play, as he is really starting to get back to his pre-assault form), but other than that, go with the ususal suspects.  I really like the idea of a Fabs / Thiago / Naby Lad midfield going against this lot.

Hopefully we take a 3-0 lead to the break and then ring the changes. If we manage these next two league matches properly, this time next week, we're only six back, riding massive momentum, and with a relatively rested and almost fully fit squad.

I really like how this is starting to shape up for us.

Luckily for a while now I’ve not had any issues with streams, usually about a minute behind perhaps but that doesn’t bother me. A lot of the time it still shows the pre and post match stuff too.

It’s like an Amazon fire stick but pre loaded with lots of different streaming sites - you pay for the subscription to the sites

      Allison

      Milner    Matip    Virgil    Tsimikas

      Henderson

      Elliott      Thiago

      Salah     Firmino     Diaz

That looks like a strong enough side without being too risky, and should be fine with s good bench.

Milner has been superb at Right back the times he has played there this season

Will be no issues if he plays there against Norwich

Got taken apart against City let’s be honest.

He will be fine against Norwich if asked to do a job but he can’t hack it there against the best anymore.

There's an obvious difference in quality between Norwich and City.

Milner struggles at RB when he's up against a pacey wide player, Norwich don't have that for a start. But it's a nothing point anyway IMO, if it's not Trent at RB then I would expect to see Gomez playing there.

      ;D

I tried that years ago was shocking, hate streams. so went back to sky.

But defo thinking about getting IPTV added to a firestick and ditching sky, especially now with gas and leckie bills going up so much. :(

Download Lepto Sports for your Firestick if you're stuck for tomorrow mate. Completely free, HD quality and takes about 5 minutes to set up. I've had it about a month now and had no trouble watching any games.

About Joe Gomez, I can’t remember, when we acquired him, wasn’t he a RB?

He had played as a centre half and on the right for Charlton but I think Brendan probably signed him with the intention of using him as a full back. I say this because he actually began his career with us playing on the left, and to be fair was doing a brilliant job until he picked up that injury which ended his season.

How much do you pay for football? In Malta, with TSN I can watch all of EPL, FA Cup, UCL, EL, La Liga, Serie A and Bundesliga (plus F1 and MMA) for 6 euro a month ( 7 sterling).

There will be rotation but not massively. Come on Salah, a hat-trick will do me fine in Fantasy with triple captain.

I think it is important to play a strong side against Norwich. They are fighting for survival, although should prove too strong for the canaries,  3  0 to the Reds !

Luckily for a while now I’ve not had any issues with streams, usually about a minute behind perhaps but that doesn’t bother me. A lot of the time it still shows the pre and post match stuff too.

Every stream I tried last weekend failed. ☹️

Yup. Defo worth a shot a RB. Problem is he has hardly played.

Used to pay around £60 a month for Sky Sports & BT Sports which are the two main channels here in the UK. We would get near enough all of what you listed above apart from any 3PM GMT kick offs on a Saturday afternoon, there's still an age old law over here which bans any live football to be shown between 3PM & 5PM on a Saturday afternoon. Was initially brought in to protect attendances and gates for clubs but it's pretty pointless now.

In regards to the match I agree that Salah will be right up for it today. Maybe a first goal for Diaz too, just hope he's gotten used to the weather over here as we've just had one of the worst storms in decades yesterday! 😂

It's not too bad at the minute, walked the shop before. Was wet but the wind was nowhere as bad as yesterday. Thankfully In the corner at the back of the main stand today so should be protected enough from the elements!

The main thing for me today is to rest Sadio. I don't say this often (or lightly) but I think the boss got it wrong rushing him back after the Afcon. He needs a breather.

      I'd go with:
      Ali
      TAA Matip VVD Tsimikas
      Hendo Fab Keita
      Salah Bob Diaz

Good chance to rest one or two but air on the side of caution, Norwich are a much better outfit with Smith in charge, Farke was too soft & defensive, now they are more organised and can be dangerous if complacency  comes in, I wouldn’t go changing  too much, it’s still a must win and we need to be ruthless,….I’d go…,

                                   Alisson
                      Trent Matip Virgil Kostas
                                Henderson
                        Harvey.           Thiago
                       Salah.    Bobby   Diaz

Bench; Kelleher, Konate, Robbo, Fabinho, Mane, Milner, Naby lad, Jota, Stubbins

The beauty of have a almost fully fit squad and a quality bench, ideally I’d liked to have given Virgil a wee break but to me he’s reaching his full potential so we can’t really leave the worlds  best CB on the bench, Matip has been awesome this season so again can’t have him sat on the bench either, thought about young Bradley in @ RB but not sure he’s quite ready yet, Kostas in for Robbo who isn’t at his best a the mo,

If anyone needs a break it’s Fabinho, so Hendo in as DM with Harvey & Thiago pulling the strings, and Mo, Bobby & the exciting Diaz providing the goodies.

3-0  Reds go marching on !!
