Tricky little tie this. Forest led by an ex academy manager, good to see him doing well.

Toss up here with resting lads or going all out with the international break coming up. For me I think it has to be use the squad, for the reason that we may well need 1 or 2 of them to be sharp on the run in

Dont think Bobby is in the Brazil squad so Id start him

       Kelleher

      Bradley Joe Konate Tsimikas

            Milner Jones Elliott

               Taki   Bobby Origi

I know one thing for sure, TAA won't be playing.

From what I saw, Forest were half decent against Huddersfield, so I hope for a fairly strong team.

I agree - let’s get a good solid mix of senior and young players for this one.

Think Klopp confirmed earlier that Alisson will start on Sunday.

I'd personally go a bit stronger than the side you've put out in the hope that we can get the game done and dusted as soon as possible. The European internationals are only involved in friendlies too, so could see those feature as they shouldn't be going full throttle during the break

Should go with our strongest squad to make sure we qualify, its a very important game as we are very close to a never seen before quadruple.

I want us all out for everything we can get our hands on, and also to keep up the momentum of winning, so strong as possible for me, I’d be tempted to have a back 5 of Ali, Milner, Konate, Virgil, Kostas, Trent out nursing his hammy, Joel a well earned break, Kostas will need game time, Mids… Fabinho remains as DM, Elliot like Kostas needs game time, and Naby lad, up top Jota flanked by Diaz and Mo, international break after so plenty of time to rest the usual suspects,…….

                                   Alisson
                 Milner   Konate    Virgil   Kostas
                                  Fabinho
                    Elliot                     Naby
                   Salah        Diogo       Diaz

Bench; Kelleher, Gomez, Hendo, Robbo, Ox, Bobby, Thiago, Divock, Taki, Fowler,

Wouldn’t be at all surprised tho if there’s  something like 10 changes and using most of the squad, players like Ox, Taki, Bobby, Divock, Gomez, Elliot, Kostas, Ibra and old Father Time Milner,  all needing game time, we will need these guys in the run in especially if we’re still attacking on three fronts, I’m usually f***in miles off so take all the above with a sh*t load of salt.

Consider pretty much the whole team is fit he has the luxury of naming a very strong XI. With new of Trent hurt wouldn't be surprised Gomez isn't used at RB just to get him more minutes on that role since he will be called upon after the break.

I would have played Kelleher but Klopp said Ali will play :/

I would rest Matip, VVD, Robertson, Thiago, Keita, Henderson and all of the front 5.

Miners strike mate, Notts miners broke the picket lines, hence the Scab calling, back in those days work forces had power, especially the miners, they were the power houses of unions, Thatcher got miner fighting miner, the Miners had built a trust fund for families to use in times of strikes, so as to feed families long term,Thatcher the f***in bi*ch used her powers to have those funds ceased, virtually taking food from miners kids mouths, eventually the Notts miners gave in and broke picket lines, Scabs,

Thatcher was a total cnut, typical Tory, didn’t give a F**k about working class, nothing has changed, Google Orgreave mate, then you’ll get a idea what Thatcher and her bootboy coppers did for the health & safety of workers in this country, ordinary tax paying workers, trying to support their families!!!

We, Malta, got our freedom from Uk in 79. We would have been worse if we stayed and had Thatcher pulling the strings with the governor.

Come on Reds. More excuses to beat them, not that we need them. Henderson's father was a miner?! If so, he knows well about this.

I just can’t believe it’s been 23 years since we’ve played them, I mean 23 years ? Can’t honestly get my head round that, the games for a spectacle were superb, two great sides built by two great managers, a lot of people didn’t like Clough, still don’t even though he’s frog up, but I did, he just told it as it was and that’s the way things should be, no airs or graces, if he didn’t like you, he’d tell you straight,

He was a one off Clough, he riled ppl, because they didn’t like his demeanour, but him and Peter Taylor built that Forest side from nothing to become European cup winners..twice..and back in the days where it was straight knockout, that was some feat, the biggest losers were Leeds, under Revie they were a great side too, but they had a close shop mentality and wouldn’t accept changes Clough was making, I think he lasted 27days something like that…. Anyhoo….

That 5-0 was probably one of our best ever performances, against a very good side, looking forward to tonight it’s a cup tie so anything can happen.

      23 years ffs !!

Think I might go for 5-0 today, or possibly 4-0 as we’re away 😂

Not sure Forrest fabs really know just how good we can be. Certainly note Arsenal standard, which seems to be giving them some confidence.

Sorry to be a pain in the arse, it's Nott'm Forest, not Notts Forest, Notts Forest does not exist, Notts County does, but Notts Forest doesn't.

It's an abbreviation mate that does come in handy when typing and the club name is used a few times.

Clough went down in my estimations after his comments about hillsbrough though his trophy haul is impressive.
As for the ‘scabs’, I don’t really know where to start on that. My family were all miners and would strike except for my uncle who once went in as he could no longer afford to feed his family. Without pay he was given £14 a week and even though my grandad bailed him out a bit he struggled. Not saying that’s what happened in Nottingham but not all ‘scabs’ should be humiliated further.

As for the game today will be interested to see what team goes out and who is at right back? I have a feeling it will be Gomez.

Liverpool has a long memory where social injustice is concerned and those involved reap what they sow, time is of no consequence.

No excuses not to field a strong team today with the break coming up, so hopefully a few goals, still, I find myself nervous for some reason, more nervous than I’ve been for a few of our recent PL games.

Having trounced the Arse 0-2 in their own yard your nerves should be well in order.

How many Forest games you been? Plenty of digs about it today. Will be a tasty atmosphere. They're going to be well up for it. Just saying now plenty of "F**k the tories" and slagging off of Thatcher today.

They absolutely hate being called Notts Forest  :lmao: :lmao: From back in the day when they were huge rivals and we played them so many times, we had some crazy times at the City Ground, gutted that this match is only half an hour from where I live yet I have no ticket  :(
We certainly have the quality and experience to batter these but somehow I have a feeling it might be a tight tough game, god I hope I'm wrong. Still take us to win though.

Good point.  Although, technically not a break for some of the players I suppose!

We all hate scabs and scabs and scabs, scabs and scabs and scabs and scabs. We all hate f**king scabs.

Used to love singing that on the all old kop against this shower.

I preferred F**k em all, F**k em all, at Anfield the Forest will fall. We'll never be mastered by Cloughie's red bas**rds for we are the cream of them all!!

Sorry for being at it again… let’s put the game to bed by the first 10m. That would ease the minds of the nervous strawberry fans.

Every striking miner struggled mate, that was what the trust money was for, to feed their families during down time, all those miners worked hard to donate to that fund, it was their money, and that f***in bi*ch Thatcher stole it from them, stole their hard earned money, stopped them supporting their families, that’s the kind of ppl that run this country, f***in parasites, there is absolutely no difference today, their all one and the same, NEVER TRUST A TORY !!
