You never win those games comfortably. Forest players throwing themselves into everything (grappling everything as well). Forest fans giving them surges of adrenaline - the best you can do is just not let them get that goal and we didn't allow them to do that.

We were inconsistent, kind of expected with the makeshift nature of the side. And we seemed to break down quite easily once we zoned in on their goal.

Not a dire performance as some drama queens on here are saying. Teams performing 'dire' don't come out of that raucous atmosphere with a victory. Behave yourself lads.

Honestly can't remember the last time we, if ever, made it to April still competing in four competitions.
think we have never been in all 4 its quite remarkable and such a credit to Jürgen and his team

Imagine the fear and the sweat in the faces of our rivals when we'll be also in the semis of champions league and top of the league. The quadruple would be the one for the history books

Patchy, disjointed game from us upfront. How many times did we mis-control the ball, over hit a pass, not pick the right option.
But again, managed to win away from home and keep a clean sheet :)
And through to the semi final :)
They had some good chances, probably should have scored with a bit more quality.
Kostas was poor imho, apart from the ball in for Jota's goal, thought he was the weak link defending, and delivery generally poor going forward.
Gomez did better than I expected, thought would be rustier, not as good as TAA going forward, but defended OK.
      CBs solid enough as usual.
AOC and Elliot passengers while on.
The 4 subs didn't make a huge difference, but it was enough to give us a little more quality/legs at that stage of the game.
Jota again popping up with an important goal.

All in all, good result, not great performance, clean sheet, a semi final at Wembley.
      We roll on :)

The boys need to start adhering to the old Walker Brothers song Make it Easy on Yourself. Not sure my old heart can stand too many more games like that.  :scarf:

Lots of talk about that Forest chance moments before Jota's goal. Let's remember we had two gilt edged chances by way of Jota and Firmino though.

Definitely the best championship side I've seen us play against. Ambitious, well organised, aggressive. A few years ago we'd have lost that sort of game 3-0. Actually I'm fairly confident in saying that only three teams could go to that place tonight and get a win - City, us and Chelsea. Arsenal went there and were fairly beaten. Leicester were humiliated. But We win with a rotated squad. All credit to Steve Cooper - he has done an amazing job in such a short space of time.

Technically, one is already done, and won.  ;)

It's not even that we're sill competing, but we are arguably the favourites to win them.

      Liverpool-City and Chelsea-Palace it is.

The Benfica draw may have been a blessing that also helps us in the FA Cup as we could go in on the first leg and kill the tie allowing us to rotate a bit in the 2nd leg with the FA semifinal only a few days later.

Having all of the FA Cup on free to air has increased its stature quite a bit I think. It's a competition that needs to be seen on a grand scale. And its great because it's stopped BT Sport (who's coverage gets worse and worse by the season) running it into the ground

This Forrest team imo already better than some EPL teams. It could be good if they get promote in next few seasons.
Happy we got trough, one more time to beat the dirty money team ManfuckingCity!

I hope all this talk of a quadruple doesn’t degrade the success we may claim that isn’t the clean sweep.
It could be that all we win is the league cup and finish second. That would be the only scenario I’d be slightly disappointed with now.
We might win a cup double.
      Or even a treble.
Any other silverware adding to what we have already won would be great.

Get in, into the semi finals and still in with a shout for every trophy!

Obviously we weren’t great and gave up a lot of chances but sometimes you just got to take the win and move on.

When you win titles and trophies you don’t remember the games where it was more of a slog, you just enjoy that winning feeling, we obvious weren’t at our best but lots of rustiness, lack of cohesion and just simply off kilter, that was one of those game we won’t be remembering,

Big shout out to Forest, on another night they wouldn’t have scored one or two, Steve Cooper has done a amazing job since he arrived there, he’s building a good side and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they got promotion next season, and good luck to them,

So we now head into a Semi with Citeh with the clear understanding that performance wise we’ll need our ‘A’ game, so will they, squeaky bum season is almost upon us, and i for one cannot fookin wait !!

We will always give away the ball  if Ox Keita and Fermino on the pitch. Too slow to react and opposition players come from behind and take the ball. I fear for the worst when I see them on the starting eleven.

totally agree, I'd rather play the citehs of this world rather than Forest who look that they're on the up, we know whats expected so it's up to us

      Get the fuckk iiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

As usual we did it the hard way but we are through and that's all that matters.

Bring on City in the semis, going to be a cracking tie.

Surely we go full strength for that!
