Liverpool Legends V Barca legends Sat 26th March 3pm Anfield

Liverpool legends will be in action at Anfield on Saturday afternoon when they take on a team of Barcelona legends with a 3pm kick off.

Some of the players in attendance for the match are Steven Gerrard, Dirk Kuyt, Sami Hyypia, Daniel Agger, Patrik Berger, Milan Baros, Jerzy Dudek, Luis Garcia and Jamie Carragher to name a few,.

Managed by Sir Kenny Dalglish and Ian Rush and coached by John Barnes and John Aldridge with the proceeds going to the LFC Foundation, it's the first game of it's like for 3 years due to the pandemic so they're hoping for a big crowd.

I've got tickets and I'm taking my grandson who is mega excited about attending Anfield, there are still a few tickets available I believe.

Should be a good atmosphere and game. Looking forward to seeing some Anfield hero's.

Well don't you remember what he did for us PTU  seriously the word is banded around far too easily these days isn't it, for me Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher are legends, not many have done for the club what they did.

I'm going with my lad. 5he legends games are usually a good watch.
I had to Google Edgar Davids playing for Barca though, I didn't remember that

just seen a clip of Dirk and Jerzy .Still marvel at Jerzy's double save in 2005 and the relentless effort Dirk made in every game he would have been a Jürgen favourite for sure.
We are so lucky to have had the players and team and the success we have had for generations.

What was the score, scorers etc? Was out today so missed it.

full house apparently . Stevie G with a penalty but lost 2-1. Its so impressive how fans support this club and seeing the old guard back is just great .

With no footy because of those pain in the arse internationals watching that game with the old guard playing was a tonic.

Always like these games happening but at the same time I always find myself asking the same question - How does Salif Diao count as a legend?! Same goes for Glen Johnson. Someone needs to track down Steve Finnan and get him out there instead of Johnson! Also, Downing?!


But, obviously great to see the likes of Sami, Dagger etc back for the game. Really good to see Enrique involved after his health battle not too long ago.

Haven't seen any of the game yet but seems like it was a good success.

Diao always seems to be involved and seems like a good character to be fair. End of the day, it’s all for charity so the more the merrier I guess.

Enjoyable afternoon, it's a shame we lost but it doesn't really matter.
I think a few of them need a mini pre season before the next legends game, a few of the younger ones looked like they couldn't run anymore.
