Yeah, normally i do too but in a game like this where newcastle dont have anything to play for. Id rather that their players dont get fired up for the game. Would like this to be a boring win for us.

Not a standout performance so far but deserve the lead, should be 2-0 up, was a poor attempt by Mane.

They haven’t asked any questions of us so far, been easy for the defence.

Keita has continued his fine form and took his goal well, Hendo has controlled the midfield well and Diaz has been bright. Would like to see more from Jota and Mane though, they’ve been quite wasteful with the ball so far (assist aside for Jota).

Milner I’m not sure about, looks like a heavy weight in the midfield just kind of lumbering about to me. Not playing badly but you can tell he’s definitely at the tail end of his career now in a team with our intensity.

They snatched a late goal against us last season, we can’t afford for that to happen again so despite it being comfortable so far, I’d say we do need that 2nd goal.
