After that clumsy last season I still don't get why people are all up in their armpits over Nunez, he's been boss, wasteful, I've seen Robbie fowler and Micheal Owen do similar stuff, tbh some of the things I've read about him here this Darwin has been inwardly growning anf puke inducing, ok he got sent off early days but come on man, his pace over a few yards and his all round movement is so clever. top addition to the forwards. he's academy age and when was the last academy age striker we had? Yonks ago, well is he 23/24? still, I like when I see him on the pitch he's a big massive presence and moves into spaces, he's smart.

Looked sharp when he came on, got stuck in and pressed well.

That shot from outside the box could have gone in, had a nice connection to it.

      Loved the attitude and defending.

He offered more than Jota did defensively and link-up. I am not referring to Jota's attacking because he was not given any supply.

I would start Darwin next match.

His man bun came out.  :D

He looked weird but was so energetic when he came on.

Thought he was gonna pinch it for us.

Nunez has to step up this season.

It's make or break for him and he knows it.

If he's to reach the levels his price tag suggested then he needs a sustained run in the team. He's physically stronger and a lot faster than Jota. He needs to be in the starting 11.

I thought the same thing. What has happened to players just running around with long hair?  Everyone just has a weird and tightly knit man bun. Bring back that Ronaldinho and co era where everyone was running around with their long hair like wrestlers.

I remember Alun Evans, he was considered as having long hair I the 70's!

Just something clumsy about him, can’t put my finger on it.

Jota was poor but if it was a situation where we needed that one chance and had to be clinical - i feel Jota has the composure to slot it home (Spurs last min style)

I understand but we needed to hustle them with his energy and willingness.

He is a bit clumsy unfortunately. He can go from the sublime to the ridiculous in a matter of moments. Hopefully as he matures we'll see more of the sublime. I wish he'd cut the pony tail though! Always makes me think of Voronin!

If he takes that ball down and scores we win that 2 - 1. It's in them moments where he costs us the most

Hard work being Darwin Nunez, when Mo misses 3 chances nobody gripes, when Darwin misses one he gets the stick ! probably a price tag comparison , reminded me of a player from long ago Mario Kempes with his hair flowing !

I’m just never that confident he’s going to put it away - but I do really like him.

I think he should start against Bournemouth.

Hard to have that match fitness when you aren't starting consistently, we can all see he isn't the type of player to be an impact sub, he needs consistent time from the start to build his confidence up.

No it isn’t really, ffs, he’s still a kid essentially, he was as raw as F**k last season, trying to hard to impress, had a air of headless chicken about him, but he’s settling down now and you can see the hard graft is starting to pay off, he’s maturing nicely,
This season is a learning curve for him, he’ll learn how to be in the right positions at the right time, the timing of his runs, who’s supplying the pass, the weight of pass etc etc, like I said he’s maturing nicely and evolving into a very dangerous animal, however he does need to revaluate his ‘70’ Porn star look, all that’s missing is a hairy chest and gold medallion, still tho, if I were a woman, I would?? 🫣😜😧💋

Give him time and he'll score, especially if you can get him into a confident state of mind.
