      Brilliant weekend - cheers Darwin!

Media/social media/pundicks have tried hard to set the headline that follows him around: agent of chaos, no control, loose cannon, misses too many easy chances… etc.
Too many of us have lazily bought into that, but hopefully sunday’s goals will begin to rewrite the narrative.
Truth is, he’s had few starts against the number of goals scored, comes on as sub a lot and gets crit when he doesn’t score and is competing with 4 serious quality forwards for a  position in the team. Add his youth, and its hard to deny he’s been labelled unfairly.
Anyway, what striker doesnt miss chances? Salah misses plenty of easy ones!

Do not forget that we have lots of games coming up after the internationals.

Salah is leaving for AFCON in January so there are so many games that he will play. His pace is a threat like young Mane and Salah.

Never ever bought into media BS, the lad just needs time. And IMO did pretty well all things considering last season, decent goal return.

He will slowly become more of a starter as the season goes on, and if salah leaves next summer, will probably just take salah place in team as a starter.

He is pretty raw to be fair but on his day when he's rolling hes hard to stop. The challenge for him is can he do it from the start against teams where they defend deep and compact and there's not much space for him to run into.

He has to get tidier in his play and be a link with his other 2 forwards.

The reason Klopp picks Gakpo is not because he's been fooled by the press and the media, it is because Gakpo does the Firmino hold up and link up play in the 9 role and it benefits the whole team.

Personally I think there's a much bigger upside to Darwin if he can tidy it up a bit. He can blow a game wide open in a way no other can.

I think a switch to 1-4-2-3-1 would suit both Darwin and the club at the moment.

Thiago, Mac Allister, Jones, Bajcetic, Endo for the two deep lying mids.

Szoboszlai, Gakpo, Jota in the 10/second striker role.

Diaz on the left. Salah on the right.

      Darwin up top.

Also lets the team revert to attacking fullbacks.

That’s a pretty good shout and it’s prob something we saw with Bournemouth

When Mac Allister got sent off it became an Endo and Szoboszlai deep lying pair.

When Darwin went on v Newcastle it was a 4-4-1 so again a pair but they were pushing for a goal.

Szoboszlai has played more like a box to box in both games with the amount of work he's had to do.

I think that’s were he may want Gravenburch for - to be alongside someone in a two but with a bit more dynamic play bursting forward

Given the club are reliant on Thiago and Jones, notoriously injury prone players,
if that becomes a regular formation then Gravenberch would get plenty of minutes here.

All players injury free then I still think Thiago is the ideal player behind Mac and Szobo.
But it's a long season and Gravenberch in a double pivot and back to his Ajax form would be ideal.

      Also counts as U21.

He may not press as well as Jota or Gakpo but he is a force of nature and is way more threatening than the other two.

His combo with Salah is just unstoppable ie so difficult to keep both of them under control.

He was excellent yesterday. Klopp isn't stupid, Villa were perfect for him with that high line they like to play. I think he will do very well when Spurs come to town as well. It will be interesting to see if he gets starts against teams that like to park the bus where he has less space to run into and is more likely to play with his back to goal. I do love his link up with Salah, deffo a bit of bromance developing there.

think Mo and Darwin could be the best EPL partnership yet. He just needs more game time and playing alongside Mo

He will for sure grow this season. I still see him as a very raw player, and won't be a finished product for a few more years. He isn't a clinical finisher like Torres was when he was here. More like Suraez or Mane in their beginning....... Worked out pretty well for both of them, and IMO he's a mix of both of those guys. Could be a potential top world forward if he reaches his potential. Same for Szobo in his position
