He was looking at the goal and imo going for an attempt but it was an atrocious header.

Yes it was a poor header but an even worse effort by Darwin don’t know why some are dressing it up any other way , but it’s gone and we move on .

I didn't notice it at first but seen someone on Twitter compare him to an early Torres.

Definitely had that same rawness and similar attributes.

Torres was very wasteful at times in his early days as well if I recall.

Watched a lot of early Torres and maybe it’s the memory playing tricks but I don’t remember him being no where near as wasteful with clear cut chances .

Yeah - seem to recall Suarez, Carroll and Dirk all finding it easier to find the woodwork as opposed to the net! That season's rightly seen as a shambles given we finished 8th but we were alright for the first half of it - competitive enough to be in distance with top 4. The form from January onwards was absolutely dire though. I thought that was as bad as I would ever see Liverpool...until April / May 2015 which of course culminated in THAT Stoke result.

That Stoke result has to be one of the lowest , wasn’t it the same season as that night at the Bernabeu, when Rodgers sent that half baked team out and kept the likes of Stevie on the bench , no matter the circumstance no Liverpool manager should go there and curl up for them , was the night I feel he finished Stevie at Lfc , as he’s since said had he known Rodgers was getting the boot and Klopp coming he would have stayed , also said he’d have been happy to get 25/30 mins a game under Klopp he was still good enough for that ,
