2 game back to back at weekend, means lots of players will get 90mins.

Yup. Squashed up cos of late finish for us and then internationals.

Squad is massive so I guess it will be 2 totally different teams at the weekend.

Yeah it’s misleading. People will say it’s 50mill because then it seems a ridiculous bargain for a player like that. But 50mill is what was paid to Dortmund, then there was another 30-40mill that went to his dad, then there’s the 400k+ a week, agent fee and signing on fee. Even if you exclude the weekly wage, the transfer cost to sign him was probably pushing 130-150mill.

I'm looking forward to game this eve, hopefully there will be a few decent streams available. The players should be getting to a better fitness level sot the pace and tempo will be picked up. I've had a fookin-nuff of this non footy summer, season can't start soon enough!

Just saw the squad for tonight, and ot looks like the team we are "saving" to start against City on Saturday will be:

I would expect this to then be the team starting against Fulham for the opener.

Based on that lineup Klopp will be playing full strength side vs Citeh on the weekend. Nice to see what Elliot and Cavalho can do as part as attacking trio.

Agreed. this is probably the team to play city at the weekend. Although not sure Allison will be fit in time ?

is this the same basic midifeld that won two trophies got to the CL final and were just pipped to the league by any chance. We have also added to it and young Elliot and Curtis will play more of a role this season fear not my friend Jürgen has got this covered

Average to be honest. Nobody standing out, lots of sloppy passes, players slow to react in the midfield and defence, players out of position and the front players taking too many touches/too long on the ball.

They practically missed an open goal from about 6 yards before they actually got their goal after a complete lack of communication between Adrian and Gomez.

It’s your typical pre-season game really.

Notable step up in quality since Salah, Thiago, Diaz etc came on. Seems a matter of time until we get a goal.

Stronger looking line up for the last 25 minutes at least. 

Might have been better having the Strasbourg home friendly tonight.
