Irrespective of FSG lack of spending it looks like the coaching staff don’t have a clue.
Worrying times -Klopp needs to ditch Lijinders asap.

So what is it that Lijnders has done that makes him the issue ?

But that was our entire defence for what seemed like most of the season.
Our starting 11 at the minute should be doing way better than it is now.

And when VVD plays he’s been crap. This isn’t so much about the players that are injured but the players who aren’t. The ones who play each week and don’t perform.

Yes I agree that the starting 11 should be doing far better

FSG were reliable at one point. And they've allowed it to get to this mess.

No football structure and a brain drain upstairs in the football analytics department and recruitment. Klopp cedes too much to Lijnders too, whose judgement has been skewed causing this imbalanced team. It's clearly stated in his book too, with Lijnders 'buy top quality first' demand and his instruction to fill out the rest of the squad with youth players. This means we've missed out on rough gems like Caicedo for example who would have been a model signing earlier on in Klopp's reign. Instead its too much high priced signings (meaning lack of funds in other areas) not offering much along with inexperienced youth. A severe imbalance. Klopp needs to take the reigns and reinstate gegenpressing with hungry younger, and perhaps unfancied, players who will drive the club forward again. What's more, his style of football worked well in the initial seasons after Buvac left. The muscle memory of gegenpressing was still there and over time that has faded away while Lijnders emphasis on sterile possession takes hold.

Linjders influence is destroying this club. And Klopp is doing himself no favours in ceding that influence to the assistant.

Jürgen had a quote recently where he was talking about the front line and said how we had never play with a #9 before and were trying to learn how to play that way.

Since we didn’t change formation or strategy it’s confusing as to why we would have signed him in the first place.

      Yup it's bizarre really.

Either play Nunez up top as a centre forward or don't play him at all.

Think Klopp has lost the plot a bit personally. We got some injuries and he couldn't adapt to them.

Injuries haven’t helped but they’re not the main problem we have this season. Completely different to the season we were having to play 2 midfielders as a centre back pairing as our other options were Rhys Williams and Ozan Kabak.

It's actually amazing we are only mid-table the way we have been playing the last couple of months.

Won't be finishing top four, that's for sure.

another excuse using injuries at the level we want to compete at we should have 2 quality players for each positon and yet we could name 6 players that should not even be at the club. lack of investment 3 years ago when we won the league is now coming home to roost

Well, yea. It’s always someone else’s fault. I get that train of thought knowing the times we live in, but that doesn’t make it true.

No, what doesn’t make something true is you saying it. You can’t blame just the players. There’s enough blame to go around from the owners down through Klopp and to the players.

Klopp is going to get sacked if we are in a relegation battle. He's not a god and we had legendary managers who got sacked for similar things.

Only one I can think of is Kenny and he was no where a relegation battle you sh*t-stirring rat, deffo a F***ing blue on the wind up!!

I think Ljinders has given himself a target with his book. The issue isn’t really him, it’s the coaching staff as a group and, therefore, the person who line manages the coaching staff …

How do you know what’s happening behind the scenes with Klopp and Ljinders ?

Is Klopp that weak minded he is being dominated by Ljinders

Well after another sh*tshow it makes you wonder what else is coming this season. I thought Brighton was a low point but my God today was worse.
Devastated to see Klopp looking the way he does.
The players are shambolic and quite frankly a disgrace to our red shirt.  There has to be something going on behind the scenes as to why else would none of them put in a shift for a manager like Klopp? How can a team have so many players who have forgotten how to play football?
I wasn't going to vote for MOM as quite frankly none of them deserved me making the effort to click on the mouse but in the end I relented and voted for young Stefan who despite a couple of errors at least tried.
