when Trent just  moved to the middle of the park we had Robbo out wide left and just our 2CB's in our own half we will get slaughtered like that against better teams

Mac Allister is our new Coutinho, only I think he looks better. Attack looks promising, defensively we still look suspect. Not too optimistic there. Virgil still looking a step slow, Konate still loves a lunging, dangerous challenge and Trent just isn’t a true defender.

We could use a good DM to help pull it together 👀

Feel for Robbo he looks lost in this system and leaving VVD and Konate exposed to cover.

I counted at least three all out sprints he had to make to get back into position because Virgil and Konate were on walkabout.

He should be part of the back 3 in this system if Trent has gone forward so if he is sprinting back it’s because he shouldn’t be bombing forward leaving just the two CB’s alone.

stick Mascherano in front of them and it would look different but where do you get another Mascherano and he would cost a lot more than the £50mil we refuse to pay now

he just lost the ball twice there in the centre circle. Why make things complicated we have tremendous talent going forward we need a defence now to match
