Starting early with this, known games that we will play are here, with no proper international games, hopefully we can have an uncomplicated pre-season, not a fan of these far away sessions, but times have changed and I must suck it up if it brings some pennies in.

Was thinking only yesterday that I hadn't heard any pre-season news, so good to see this thread.

Bayern obviously the stand out game so will be interesting to see how these games pan out, wondering if they'll be on LFCTV?

I read we are "hosting" a Euro opponent at Preston's stadium as well. No date for that yet.

I thought one problem last season was not having a proper preseason due to the long Asian trip. So now we are going back again?

I thought one problem last season was not having a proper preseason due to the long Asian trip. So now we are going back again?

I think being a top club means you have to accept going to either the US or the Far East every summer for a few games. There's no real way around that anymore. Even if a manager has strong views they will likely be overruled.

Our tours are actually generally a fair bit shorter than some of our rivals.

Just looking at their squad list on Wiki and they have a lad called Lazar Mirkovic. Had to re-read it to make sure it wasn't our old friend.

This Saturday, July 8 is when preseason begins. I think a few others who played internationls after the season ended might not be back until Tuesday the 11th also.

From the official site: "Liverpool will play their final pre-season game of the summer against SV Darmstadt 98 at Preston North End's Deepdale Stadium on Monday August 7, kick-off 7pm BST."

I thought we might need one more game, even with an emphasis on training. This will be the dress rehearsal before the season opener.

Picked up two tickets for the friendly at Preston for me and my lad. Never been to Deepdale. Bit steep at £28 for a friendly though
