Nice second goal from Jota. Think he was pissed not getting the pen.

Just seen the goals. Jota and Gakpo both looking really sharp (hope they get a half with Salah soon as I think that's the front three that should start the season) and good to see Mac Allister set up the fourth goal.

Dominik looked neat and tidy on the ball in the first half. Mac had a nice assist for the 4th goal by Jota.

Salah looked sharp, Trent saw a lot of the ball in a midfield role first half. Gakpo was busy and looked in good form during the second half.

Tactically it was interesting to see that young Bradley at RB was tucking inside when we had the ball in the same way Trent did for a few games last season.

Cheers mate early days but wouldn't surprise me if we see more of that with Trent or whoever in that position.  I still worry about our defense have a feeling will see a shed loads of goals next season and we will concede our fair few as well

If we are going to keep playing with these overloads in midfield we will be vulnerable down that right hand side especially. With that in mind a player like Lavia who is quick and mobile (plus defensively minded) who can plug in would be ideal.

Jota is going to be cooking this season. I can see him and Salah hitting 30 goals each.

Agreed mate, my front 3 is Jota, Gakpo and Salah.

Diaz and Nunez superb impact subs.

Really enjoyed that game today, great to see the new lads gel in the team and some of the young lads impressed me.
Trent looks like he did about 3 years ago with his trim new haircut, I'm sure Aussie Red will be very happy  :afro:  :lmao:

Lovely goals too, I know it's not all about the win, it's the fitness that's important, but it's always a bonus to knock in a few goals.

Well done boys, onto Monday for the next match, wonder how Hendo felt being left out today, very sad to think he's leaving.

McAllister played the No 10 role so interesting to see if we carry this forward.

Surprised to see Bradley (RB in first half) and Tsimikas (LB in 2nd half) kept drifting to the middle.  It is like Klopp wanted to try something.

Just back from Karlsruhe. These are my impressions. Nice little stadium. The Germans start their season next week already and, as expected, are a bit more advanced in terms of physicality. The atmosphere was so-so from our side. Many had drunk too much beer and the heat probably did the rest. Overall, the team is already working very well. Who I would really like to mention particularly is MacAllister. Why? He's determined, he doesn't lose a ball, he's got an outstanding short passing game. A great signing.

The way he was talking about a midfielder who could spot the runs he was making, and deliver the ball....seems like that shouldn't be a new or novel thing, but I guess it kind of speaks to a stale quality in our midfield last season.

Not this season. The question now is will we run out of bodies.

Official site has been advertising live training from Germany at 6 .m. Eastern U.S. time, so I'm uo to watch before work and they ended up showing us four minutes of players walking across the ground to drink water, and a couple of minutes of a rondo, and then, Goodbye.

What I deserve for being such a sicko about this team. Curtis and Harvey are back in training I suppose is the closest thing to a news item from it. This was the first of two sessions today.

so is this team done or do you still expect a signing? Didnt many demand 3-4 new signings?

      NB: Team no longer available

I had an issue who to put up front. It is close between three: Gakpo, Jota and Darwin. And all three and challenge Diaz too.

That is the best line-up at the moment.
