Decent for us that both teams will have to slog it out again next week to get through.

That's what we wanted. Though they didn't lose, at least both teams still have to fight.

Are Arsenal copying our Allez Allez chant ? 😂😂😂😂
Glasgow Rangers sang it a good year before we did.
About a dozen teams in EFL sing it and Villa have the 1982 version.

Foden off injured. Hope he's back real soon 🤥

That's if he's even injured in the first placed.

I think it's great fans think we came up with the chant personally. You shouldn't have said anything.

We were also the first to chant the "Oh when the reds......" and "Lizzie's in a box....."

a new arsenal signing, Trossard (29) just scored a crucial goal for them in the Champions League. When our players turn 29, our fans start talking about selling them because theyre "in decline" ;D.

It depends on their contract situation, what their place in the team is and if you can get a good offer for them to get a better replacement in for the long term.

Take Milner or Endo for example, you won't get people talking about selling them....same with Ali and Virg given their importance. Don't think anyone was calling for Sadio to be sold despite being 30 and showing signs of decline.

Fabinho on the other hand, it made sense.

City will win that 2nd leg 3 or 4-1. Theres just nobody to stop them.

I expect Arsenal to get through next week ... maybe in a one off they could stop city. With the current standard in europe outside england there are no great teams. City will retain it and as it stands could be getting near our 6 before the decade is out.

Wasn't a peno. And as it wasn't given should be a yellow for simulation. Basically kicked the keeper. Wee sh*te.

I thought Elliott did same by leaving his foot to drag against us. Thought Saka was even more of a penalty. Cant work out VAR anymore if my life depended on it.  :f_doh:

I can't help you with the first part of your post, but with regards to VAR, the problem, and it will always be a problem, is that the call is subjective...just a personal opinion and all people have different opinions of the same incident...in fact the same person often has a different opinion of the same incident at a different time....Human perception is imperfect......and you can quote that as if your life depended on it.
      Have a good day fella.

Stockley park needs binning off. Id love to see Var binned off too.

But if the referee isnt sure he should be able to ask a video referee situated within the stadium or pitchside to look at the pitchside monitor for a decision. And the audio should be broadcast live on tv for viewers at home. The referee needs to tell the video ref what hes checking for and what the onfield decision is. Thats it. The video ref then makes the decision and communicates it to the ref. And its a one phrase decision. Goal. Offside. Penalty. No penalty. Red card.  Recind red card. Etc.

A review system ... 2 per half for each team would be good as well.

Before VAR football matches were watched by billions of people Worldwide, it prospered and went from strength to strength. I don't remember watching matches thinking I wish there was another referee watching the match ready to step in and re-refereee the game...None of us did...We had an imperfect system, a referee and two linesmen, who we trusted to make the right call. Of course being human they collectively got it wrong sometimes, but we accepted it and moved on...there was no delay...a goal was a goal and offside was offside. Today, we have the exact same system in place, with the addition of essentially an extra (safety net) referee called VAR. The football authorities disregarded scientifically proven data that adding complexity to a process makes it less effective, and stupidly implemented a two ref system. Neither of these ref's can see the same incident the same, so we have to accept one of their decisions, and ignore the other; both are subjective decisions and so will always be open to scrutiny and doubt....there is no definitive way to arrive at a right or wrong decision...it's just someone's opinion.
VAR was well intentioned, but it hasn't, and in my opinion, can't work, because people are fallible, always have been and always will be.
