Don't think support entails putting the blinkers on. People will comment as they see fit based on the player's credentials, the needs of the squad and the situation we're in. We all hope they do well and support them when they put on a red shirt but we can all give our own frank opinions all the same.

I think if it comes off this could be signing that adds a bit of depth and experience to the squad but is nowhere near sufficient to address the hole in midfield. I think if a player was an absolute world beater the odds are they wouldn't have been playing in the Belgian Jupiter league or in a relegation threatened club in what is usually their peak years. Could be an exception obviously but very, very rarely happens.

Jokes aside, I took the piss when the news broke, but the more I read about this guy the more I'm excited and think this could be a very shrewd move for us. Of course, it doesn't mean we don't need a younger DM too, but this guy seems like he's a ''plug and play'' type of deal and if people are right about him then he's more than just a body through the door.
