Where was his leadership last season?

Are you implying he is a better leader than VVD there is a reason Klopp let him leave - leadership = F**k all if your legs are gone!

Any way time to take a break from here let you lot all gloat over the world beater Endo - look forward to him picking up PFA player of the year award 😂

He won't win any awards. The work he does is the dirty stuff that allows the others to do their stuff such as Mac. If you can't see what Endo does for this team then you must be blind or not understand the game.

He's more than holding his own and he's an important cog in our team

Why didn’t Klopp choose Endo before we started bidding for Caicedo or the Saints lad, must just like throwing the clubs money down the drain seeing as though both those two are dog crap.

Endo is the only DM hence he gets played funnily enough when we had a fully fit midfield Klopp preferred Mac as the DM!

His stats are nothing remarkable for a player in his position.
He has good passages and equally poor during a game none of his abilities or stats are elite like a peak Fabinho for example.

Oh Idk why didn't the club just pay Soton's asking price for the kid if Klopp was desperate for us to get him? Klopp said in the past "the day we pay 100m for a player is the day I'm not in a job anymore", things get said/done then get retracted....that's what happens in life. You can tell from our post summer activity when he spoke highly of Endo, then you see the greeting video how happy he was Endo had arrived.

Klopp also preferred Moreno for 3 months when Robbo was on the bench every week, the rest is history. Endo has started the last 9 games now he's been available in, no losses.

If you can't accept he's overachieved then that says more about you than anything else or maybe you just don't understand the purpose and value of playing with a #6 in general.

Klopp let him go because he never stops anyone from leaving the club - anyone that wants to leave is allowed to

But Henderson’s leadership when he was club captain should never been in doubt - many players , club staff , managers have clearly stated how much of a leader he was.

And Endo was superb again last night - he is a key player for the team , the players know that , the manager knows that

Ironically the only person that has mentioned "world beater" in the same sentence as Endo....IS YOU!!!

Putting words in other people's mouths just so you can use it against them to win an arguement never works. Try again.

As far as questioning Hendo's leadership here, I wouldn't bother digging yourself a deeper hole.

I found a comparison stat line comparison online the other day showing Endo alongside Declan Rice. I think Endo bettered him in virually every category listed with the exdeeption of pass completion.

He's been an excellent purchase and another great example as to why we (as fans) should shut the F**k up somtimes!

I was gutted when the Caicedo deal feel through, really gutted (although i think he's be doing well in this team). When we signed Endo i was convinced it was stop gap and that we'd need another DM in January window.

He IS a stop gap, though.

At 31 he’s not going to be a long term solution but has filled in admirably and allows us to be patient in finding the DM for the next 5+ years.

I've not been reading! Spotted it on facebook and then had my PE students debate it in class on Tuesday! There was also a siilar stat comparison on VVD vs Saliba. Big Virg kicked ass there too!

I hear you but stop gap as in a season or 6 months etc.

He can give us a couple of years, maybe 3.

What more can a player do to convince fans of his quality?

Endo has been absolutely superb and should start every game. The balance he offers to the team is unique, he’s a DM specialist with an eye for goal.

      Love it.

Endo has been quality. The idea that it is 'easy' to upgrade on him makes me laugh, knowing we had some £160m worth of offers accepted for fellow defensive midfielders and still couldn't get the players we wanted. That's not my definition of easy.

He might not be here for the long term, maybe he isn't the most exciting player on Earth, but he's a player that fits our team perfectly and is serving us well right now - that's a lot more important than counterfactuals as we know even expensive, exciting signings often fail. This one wasn't expensive nor exciting but it's a success so far.

An absolute stalwart today. Find it embarrassing that there are some on here who will easily dismiss him. What a wee gem of a player.

I don't know. I hope its something preventive rather than an actual injury. Klopp said after the game that Wataru was walking with the ''most stiff legs'' he's ever seen. Lad did indeed put in one hell of a performance today and has been playing 90 minutes after 90 minutes with club and country for a while now.

I think he's probably the player that the fan base agrees on the most at the moment. Sure there was a lot of jokes and negativity by some when signed and those first two months of the season when the lad was still adapting, but I don't recall anybody saying anything negative about him in about 3 or 4 months now.

Put in a hell of a shift today. Was miles better than Enzo or that dirty f**ker Caicedo.
