Just seen the highlights as was working today.

      Nunez finished those with class.

Similar goals. To rip your opponent apart the same way twice means we know how to exploit their permanent weaknesses.

So happy watching Shearer all pissed off in the MOTD studio. Ha ha yes!!!

Warnock still thinks Newcastle will challenge lets see how they do firstly in Europe where they will struggle and then playing twice a week and all the travelling that goes with it.
As much as the result was just off the scale I saw us return back to being aggressive all over the pitch again and I havent seen that in a long time this Villa game could be interesting I can see us blowing them away

I wonder how it would have played out had VVD stayed on 🤔

Looking at the Team Sheet for the game raises a red flag.
As much as I really enjoy seeing Doak, Elliott, Bajcetic & Quansah in the squad and getting games.
Only Thiago, Jones, Konate and Phillips are missing out from that Team Sheet.

      That's it.
So with three players injured there was only Phillips not in the Team Sheet.

All teams have injury problems throughout a season.

At some point the bench will entirely be made up of U21 players
and if it's not it will only be because Quansah, Morton, Bajcetic, Elliott & Doak
      are starting the game.

Strap in folks. It's going to be a wild season of games like yesterday.

Could've easily had a hat trick if he had controlled that long ball from Elliott. Think that might've been a bit of a danger sign to Newcastle, having someone with that pace on the shoulder, even for the last 10 minutes.

T'other thing which was nice, was beating that mouthy creep Trippier. I don't usually take umbrage against any player, well apart from a hundred or two, but that gobby big mouth is top of the bill. Tried to get Trent sent off. Even nabbed Trent's England place once or twice.

Pity he didn't try it on with Nunez.....knuckkkk....st itch that...

Unless I’m reading this wrong how was this a sending off offence ?

DENYING A GOAL OR AN OBVIOUS GOAL-SCORING OPPORTUNITY (DOGSO)

Where a player commits an offence against an opponent within their own penalty area which denies an opponent an obvious goal-scoring opportunity and the referee awards a penalty kick, the offender is cautioned if the offence was an attempt to play the ball or a challenge for the ball; in all other circumstances (e.g. holding, pulling, pushing, no possibility to play the ball etc.), the offending player must be sent off.

The challenge was outside the penalty box. VVD was sent off because his foul denied a goal scoring opportunity.

In the box it's yellow and a penalty. In the box, it's a red if it's deliberate foul play.

For all the talk and panic about Konate being out forcing us to play Gomez/Matip both put in a good showing yesterday which I hope is a sign of things to come.

Nunez the hero with the two goal (finish on the first was great) but Salah first touch flick to Jota on the first goal and perfectly weighted through ball on the 2nd goal stood out. He hasn't been scoring but continues to contribute to the attack.

Not too sure on Matip, thought he was a bit rocky at times and was the reason he was replaced by Quansah

Notable though that Quansah rated highly by Klopp and got the nod over Phillips.

      Still F***ing buzzing.

And I find it even better because the biggest crying bas**rds on this forum haven't posted in this thread post-match. Writing us off throughout the game, we get three points and they don't say a F***ing word

F**k the F***ing lot of those miserable cu*ts.

And poor little Newcastle crying themselves to sleep. 14 games unbeaten in all competitions on our current run and 14 games unbeaten against those Geordie maggots now. F***ing small time club who think they're something special because they've got a bit of money behind them.

Now lets go and tw*t Villa as well.

I posted at ht that I thought we would get something from the game, apart from the wonder save from Ali,they were starting to struggle. In the second half they ran out of ideas pretty quickly, although the shot that hit the post was a let off. The longer the game went on we were creating opportunities, then when the subs came on that was the icing on the cake. By that time they were completely spent. As they say the rest is history. Doubt a Klopp team at your peril

Shot on the post wasn't a let off. It was off target ! Nunez had two shots. His were on target. Thats the difference in quality.

Think he was replaced as he was a bit leggy. Ran his nuts off all game, and hasn't put in 90 mins yet. Had a lot of ground to cover, as did all of them.

Still plenty of gloating to be extracted but far as the 'Geordie nation' goes I quite like them. Great footballing nation. S'not their fault dirty oil money took over their club. Had plenty of thin & thin over the years. Keegan did his best.
