I totally agree, the amount of members that have picked an average side is somewhat surprising, especially not having your No1 keeper playing.

      I was one of those. l o l

      But have changed my mind.

I disagree, Konate needs rest because he is match-fit but injury-prone.

I expect him to start but maybe only play 60-70 mins ?

      I'd go

                                     Kellerher

      Gomez       Matip               Virg             Tsimikas

                                         Endo

                       Jones                         Dom

        Salah                       Nunez                     Jota

      Kelleher
      Gomez Matip van Dijk Tsimikas
      Endo
      Szoboszlai Gravenberch
      Salah Gakpo Diaz

Quansah, Elliott, Mac Allister, Nunez, Jota off the bench.

Szoboszlai has really hit the ground running so I'd be reluctant to drop him,
but maybe the option is to play Elliott instead as he's had a great impact off the bench.

Our No.2 keeper is better than your No.1 keeper.....

I'd like to see Doak, Endo, Kelleher and Tsimikas in the starting 11. Maybe Matip and Konate should be rested to avoid injuries. Quansah and VVD to start.

      Kelleher
      Gomez konate vvd tsimikas

      Macca.   Bajetic.   GRavenberch

      Salah Doak. Gakpo

Quansah was pushed to the limits physically would expect him to come off the bench.   I think we need another solution at right back,  give a go to Endo off the bench as we just can't expect Gomez to play twice a week.

Trent will be back at weekend I reckon, so Gomez will be fine to play again, then rested at weekend maybe.

I agree he needs to rotate. 7 games in 22 days with the rest if the EPL games being difficult (West Ham, Spurs and Brighton) this is an good opportunity to give squad players some playing time and give the likes of Salah, Macca, Dom, Alisson and Robbo a evening off. A lot of options to pick from but I would think Garvenbech and Endo in the middle is a must to get minutes under their belt. If I was to pick think a side like this would get the job done.

hopefully he is back.  But it does worry me that an injury prone player is so involved so early. Am sure Klopp has something up his sleeve.

He will rotate obviously, but I think his point was it wont be too mad and too experimental. Not unless we qualify with games to spare.

Im pretty sure Gomez has been pretty much fit for ages now.

Everyone says hes injury prone, hes been unlucky with some serious injuries. Not constant niggles like some players are.

He has played 7 mins in a month hardly match fit . If he is in for Sunday he needs to start Thursday and at least 60 mins in the legs

I still disagree. Do you think that in training, they do not train for their match fitness?

      But who am I?

No you can't ,by that rationale what are the point of pre season friendlies ? Match fitness and what they do in training are not the same things

The problem with konate is that he's injury prone. It's like he's got muscular issues. He can't back up 1 game after another ... even Saturday ... 7 days training and then another game the following Saturday seems too much.

If he's trained ok this week I'd keep him for Sunday. We can beat lask without him.

I see no way he plays Thursday and then turns out again Sunday. I'd leave him at home and have him ready for the weekend. I think we need to use him wisely.

Really should be rotating here to keep us fresh

Play Nunez, gapko and jota up top imo

Eliott and the two cm buys in midfield

One senior cb and one youngster and Gomez at rb with the back up lb and keeper

correct. Players need match fitness and match sharpness. Pros always say training is one thing but playing games is another.

Id be shocked if Konate doesn't start or at least come on for a large chunk of 2nd half.
