Fairly comfortable in the end against a Championship standard team. Endo getting loads of stick, he was no worse than Doak.

Doak is 17yrs old,  endo is 30 odd experience man. No comparison.

Endo and kostas disappointed me, but not too fussed as that 11 will probably never play together again. Was more about getting minutes in legs of fringe / recovering lads.

Posters want young and fringe players given a chance but then when it’s all disjointed with players who have never started together!

At least we now have the fire power to come off the bench to put things right if needed.

I thought Doak was alright actually in the first half. Beat his man a few times and put a couple of good balls in the box, one especially really should have had someone on the end of it. It was more the senior players around him that disappointed in the first half.

We wanted fringe guys to get minutes and that's what happened. They were winning when they started coming off. Great experience.

Didn't know Brentford had a sister club in Austria. Bunch of hacks.

Nunez and Gravenberch were MOTM but Diaz was electric.

Konate and Bajectic were warriors too. Endo kept things ticking.

Went for Darwin as MOTM, never stopped running , calling for the ball and always causing chaos, Gravenberch impressed me with his play too ,will be great in midfield alongside Mac and Szobo ,Tsimikas looked very rusty tonight and had a few issues . Substitutes really changed our play and worked well ......good win !

Went for Harvey MOTM. Thought he was full of energy for the full 90+ mins. Didn't realise he had such a good left foot. Couple of other good shouts were Gravenberch and Darwin and Diaz. Dominik and Salah class when they came on.

Not a game that will stay in the memory. Dull encounter against a poor side. Got the points...move on.

Despite being behind for 40ish minutes I don't think we were ever in danger of not winning this.
Great to start the group with a win and lots of players getting 1st starts of the season will bode well in the coming weeks when we have a game every 3/4 days.

It'll be weaker if anything for coming games - was just exceptional circumstance that had Konate and VVD starting tonight

No maybe not the same.11 but you get my drift he will.have to.rotate and shouldn't be any excuses if.they can't do.it against these teams especially in the group stages

Depends on injuries I guess hopefully we can navigate this group without any concerns whilst resting the players that need it

Need to start the big boys and get the fringe on once it’s wrapped up !

The big boys have regularly being going a goal down as well. This way round probably makes more sense.

Yea as the season goes on agreed. no excuses. But most of today's lads were making debuts or returning from Injuries.

Jürgen pointed out that Ryan Gravenberch had cramp, and that's why he came off....
Good news that it's not an injury. Really good debut game from the young man too.....

Fits and starts in the first half, not unexpected given it was probably a one off line up. Better second half. Positives: Doak a got start and there were glimses of what is to come. Ryan took the eye. Nunez put in a shift and on another night could've scored 2/3.

Decent win in the end, didn't tax the squad, settle for that.

Solid win in the end, but that 1st half was dire.

Obviously fringe/young players, but some did nothing to push their name. Kostas offers absolutely nothing and is lucky to have anything to do with our club. Claims the "scouser" label just to survive.

Great goals, but that penalty was a shocker.

That first time cross from Ryan G was superb, took the commentator by surprise as well as the whole of LASK.

Klopp loves that, quick unpredictable play. Amazing!
